I just hit second level with my half-orc lore oracle, and I've just discovered that my DM allows the use of Racial Heritage for half-orcs and half-elves. I then noticed the kobold feat scaled disciple...
Do you think the benefits of Dragon Disciple are worth the loss in caster levels? If I went this route I would probably only go up to 8th level in DD, thus still receiving 9th level spells (eventually).
What would you do?

that's a difficult (well, impossible) question to answer without knowing anything about your character's background/personality or build... assuming that you wouldn't be asking unless it was at least a decent fit (meaning a lore oracle who was already planning on seeing some melee), it could be really interesting! stacking the Nat AC bonuses with the ability to cast in actual armor and sidestep secret will get you a crazy AC; and, as ArmoredMonk mentioned, you gain a lot for those 2 lost levels of caster progression (though- it seems like he might be slightly off on the total cost: you'll lose 2 levels worth of spells known and of spells/day; your caster level could still be maxed though with that trait).
another thing to consider- if you have the feats for it, you could take eldritch heritage and improved eldritch heritage for the arcane bloodline which would get you a bonded item (for the extra spell and free enchanting) or familiar (so you can take improved familiar to gain some kind of dragon), and let you add a couple wiz/sorc spells to your spells known, which would be handy in a build like this.
