Do we get 2 spells per level? Or 4? I know in creating the characters it was 4, just wondering for leveling.

I am yet to see anything about HeroLab that would want to make we want to buy it. I also do not know who at HeroLab decided to create the format for the exported data, but I can never find half of what I am looking for when someone uses HeroLab for their Paizo character sheets and what is there is usually in a strange lengthy paragraph format. Yet, I suppose that it is more condensed that the method I use, but if something is generally unintelligible, that does not really make the added value of the condensed form something I would want to use.

I used sCoreForge (Forum), but lately it has become unwieldy, I have just used YAPCG and it worked fine.
Both are Excel spreadsheets, and both free.
Halcorg
PCGen is free. That is what I use when I play with my kids. The only other tabletop was a few PFS games at two conventions I went to in the last year. I have not tried doing PFS on PCGen, but I am pretty sure I could easily do it. I have not found a print format I really like, but I think that HeroLab's print formats are just as unwieldy from what I have seen.
For my online characters, I have my own format and just level them by hand. Takes a little while initially, but then leveling does not take long. The time is in deciding which feats to take usually.
Also, doing it myself, I can track each level individually - when I raised ability scores, what the modifiers are, which levels I took what FC bonus, and all sorts of other stuff like that.

I will give PCGen a test drive... BTW, Halcorg can join the meeting anytime... Even more... maybe Vodyanov Leventon, will look for you.

Other then your first post what all do we know about the Nomen so far? And have the undead attacks been frequent?
Profession Soldier - Analyze Centaur tactics or whatever is applicable in a combat/military sense. Numbers and such.: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Corsario
|
The Nomen? The Cenobitic Monks tells you they are not happy they founded Varnhold, but they are letting them be as long as they don't encroach their lands anymore. If you try to expand the Varnhold barony, there will probably be a war with them.
The nomen, military speaking, are a cavalry only army. Very mobile and good at skirmishes and rapid attacks in plains, but not as good for any other thing.
The undead attacks have becoming frequent. Once or twice the week, and getting worst. Is not like they are going to overrun Trivium (yet), but they tie some of your forces there.

Corsario
I am jumping in on this as well! :D
I keep forgetting that Xi is the Spymaster! lol
Knowledge (geography) +7 (+9 vs. animals, +11 vs. humans, +9 while in forest terrain) - : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Knowledge (nature) +7 (+9 vs. animals, +11 vs. humans) - : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Xi - and any brave and stealthy enough - could take 10 (Which becomes a 21 (23 in forested terrain for Xi and make a stealthy foray or two into the undead lands if there is time during our 6 months of building. Up to you boss man! :D
Basically -
What do we know of the undead lands?
Is there any animal life?
Is the terrain corrupted in any obvious way?
Especially if the attacks are getting worse this would prompt Xi to investigate more.
Sorry for all the questions we have a lot of catching up to do! Hehe.

About the Undead Lands... You have not got the change to go Explore there, and no one can tell you what the land is like. No one goes near there. All the information You can get is what you de dice from the map.
About the simple Arcane spellcasting... Beats me. Ignore it.
Neji Lazula
@Corsario: Before I formally post Neji's actions, would it be alright if she crafted a pair of Eyes of the Eagle over the six months? She has the necessary funds and spellcraft modifier. I want to rearrange some evolution points for Destroyerman, and the Eyes open up some wiggle room.

Tarina is High Priest.
Neji: Yes, of course, Eyes of the Eagle coming up!
BTW, I have send most of you the PMs with Secrets and Extra Magic Items. The ones I am missing I will send shortly.
Tarina
Alright, changed Tarina's 6th level into Evangelist, I picked Handle Animal and Disguise for her new class skills, she now has an amazing +16 handle animal which increases to +20 when handling Azurefang.
Xi'Tir
Sigh.
Okay.
High Priestess became Tarina when Tatiana was completely opposed to the idea that she be made queen.
Seraph put her name out there as a plausible candidate but I squashed her and voted in favor of Tatiana to avoid more party/player politics.
Since I was the only one who responded. In part because Corsario was away and players had stopped posting. It was deemed that your roles were reversed.
I am on my phone and cant really repost my my original posts but the end result is as it stands now.
Tatiana Queen.
Tarina High Priest.
Other rolls I believe never changed.

Thank you Halcorg, in the original book the Warden represented Economy, in the update it became loyalty. Will try to make other corrections as I get time. Having some major issues at work atm. So my apologies in advance.

Do you guys want to discuss what to do with the Stag Lord here or in Gameplay? With certain character accents, it might be better here.
Are you thinking about sending a stealthy strike team inside first? Gather info and potentially nail the lord if you get an opportunity? Maybe Tatiana and Seraph (non-stealthy crew) could be ready with the literal cavalry? Do we have a good way to communicate between groups?
cheers
Halcorg
I am good with either route. However, whether it is a stealth/strike team or a quick mobile assault, we need to have one or more escape options open. Memorized fly spells, fast movement, or something like that. We know that the Stag Lord will have scouts, so unless Maria can get us in unseen, it is going to require some fighting to keep our presence at least somewhat unnoticed.
-- Actually I had Halcorg's whole speech typed up without an accent and then realized that he pretty much speaks with broken common and had to rewrite it. Usually he lets his wife or earthbreaker speak.
Daliedhur
I'm trying to move into the role of Marshal as best as I can, and for that effect maybe a few things should be considered:
- Surely Daliedhur has access to reports from the patrols in the area, namely activity, number of opponents, composition of the Stag Lord's forces in that area, etc, etc. That kind of information might prove useful in making a decision;
- She surely has access to details such as geography and lay of the land, to determine what may be the best means of incursion into the Stag Lord's territory - that one may help also;
- In the end, I was thinking that this should be a three-part thing: one, process the information we already have, and if it is enough, move in to capture the Stag Lord; two, if the information is not enough, make a scouting run, based solely on testing their strength and gathering additional intel; and then three, move in with a strike team, decisively and fast, to capture/disable the Stag Lord.
This will be what Daliedhur puts forth in the 'private meeting'
Tatiana Fortuna
After a little bit of research, the only magical means of long distance communication that is available to the cohorts will be Animal Messenger cast by the two rangers. It will be one way, meaning from the rangers to a predetermined spot. And it will transmit as fast as the little animal can move. Therefore, two key uses will be from a ranger to the capital for updates or to a staging area on the Stag Lord border to accelerate response time. The good thing is that the animal can carry maps as well as messages.
If we had a wizard/sorcerer, we could have used Whispering Wind, but it's not much better than Animal Messenger.
cheers

Tirion: you are right, I don't know what happened with the Kiritta/Halcorg items and secrets.
Well, the secret is that... Just joking, will send it in a PM today. :P
Xi'Tir
Despite her broken speech and emotions Xi is far more capable than she lets on. She would fulfill the role of spymaster fairly well imo. Granted her ability to sneak around is better than her ability to gather knowledge/intelligence. ;)
___________________________________________________________________________
My thoughts.
1. Send Stealth team for recon and assassination.
1a If Xi gets a shot at the Stag Lord she will take it.
1b Xi will terminate as many bandits as possible if the opportunity arises. Unlike Seraph she isn't so keen on rehabilitation.
2. Get items like potion of fly for quick escape. potions of expeditious retreat for greater speed during recon.
3. We bring no animal companions or creatures we cannot readily retreat with. Some animals are not keen on flying...
___________________________________________________________________________
Corsario Should I make additional rolls on what Xi and Daliedhurhave most likely uncovered in recon/clashes with the Bandits thus far?
Hard to tell what we do and don't know about the enemy, even with 6 month of building time.
___________________________________________________________________________ __
If Xi/Ni's speech is too rough then I can throw it aside for gameplay purposes so we can move forward easily. ;)
Seraph Whitemoor
The Plan
Maria can get us to the Stag Lord, I trust she won't betray us.
So Seraph will go as she promised to protect Maria.
0. Trivium's army is put on full alert, not just for bandits but for undead as well. Can't be too careful.
0a. Not to be rude but I don't know if Tatiana should go... =/ Just saying we fail and Trivium is toast.
0b We take the majority of our stealth characters, once we get there they can hopefully scatter and we can ghost these bandits.
1. We get to the Stag Lord.
2. We kill him, no question.
3. We crush any resistance and force the bandit kingdom to surrender.
4. It'll take weeks of clashes but eventually we will add their kingdom hexes to our own.
We have the best chance to crush the Stag Lord here and now, so I say we take it.
___________________________________________________________________________ __
Items
I believe what Xi said to be true.
Fly Potions.
Some Cure Light Potions.
Expeditious retreat or some way of increasing our speed for tactical advantage.
It would be good to have some way to communicate back to Trivium... Neji? Any ideas?
Seraph has some money she can pitch in for this to work.

This will be what Daliedhur puts forth in the 'private meeting'
Ok, let's see:
The Stag Lands are teeming with bandits, in a defensive position. As soon as you move into his lands:- You start being harassed/ambushed at every corner
- No safe food or water source is found
- Bandits start pouring into your Lands to force you to return and protect them
The bandit are tens of run of the mill bandits, plus a dozen elite ones and it is supposed 3 lieutenants, which you haven't seen. Many contradictory tellings about them.
What you know is in the map. Hilly terrain, approximate distance, a lake and a river. The kobolds Lands in the north.
But that is without Maria's information that Seraph could gather.
Seraph Whitemoor
Corsario Seraph will get that information from Maria, was wondering if we were continuing it in main thread or pressing the game forward for now. ;)
___________________________________________________________________________ _
Seraph would rather end this in one bloody blow, even if she dies in successfully defeating the Stag Lord. With his fall the region would be way safer and the dead could be contained. Alastair can lead the soldiers in her stead if anything happens but, as a play, I'm not going to let her fall easily lol!
Daliedhur
Thank you for the feedback Corsario :D
Seraph, I like your plan, but I think we need to decide if bottom line this will be a 'covert' action, and if so, how we plan on carrying it out.
So, shall we deal with the issues one at a time? :D
Will this be a 'covert' operation? If so, how? Are we moving at night? Are we 'flying' in? Are we moving underground (hey, there may be a route :D)? Do we know 'exactly' where the Stag Lord is? And how he is protected? Are we going to pose as deserters, or even simple travellers (think some of us may be recognized :D)? Are we stealthing all the way in? Will this be a fight of attrition? Taking out the lieutenants one at a time, might not pose as a bad option.
I guess some of this can be garnered from Maria's intel, though... Do we trust her fully? :D
Daliedhur would be able to follow any of the above, as we come to a decision.

You need to check who goes where, and we continue.
Find a job for everybody, don't leave anyone behind. I would say two groups maximum, for ease of DM'ing.
Have a confession to make...
Remember I once ask you two characters? Baron / Cohort?
Well, I separated them, in part, to let the cohorts "bloom". And they did. Even if they are a lower level then the barons, they are as much characters as them (and in some cases maybe more).
So now that is time to rejoin them, I am afraid for the cohorts to "disappear" in the background.
Well, I can try to railroad it so it doesn't happen. But I won't.
Don't let them fade away.
