TPK Games is pleased to present: Feats Reforged, Volume I, The Core Rules
Character growth is an important aspect of any fantasy roleplaying game, and with the advent of feats in 3rd edition D&D™, players have always had a lot of growth potential and new abilities.
One of the problems people discussed is that many feats are static and have a diminished amount of return as you advance. We decided to change that. In Feats Reforged, feats scale in ability as you do, so that their level of ability matches your own.
Many of the so-called “worthless” feats have now been reforged, so that their abilities are on par with other feats, and each feat now scales in ability with their users.
You will find that most feats now also have an additional bonus effect at around 7th, 14th and sometimes even 20th level. This represents your increase in skill with these feats and talents.
In addition, these feats are an excellent resource if you play in a low magic setting. You can focus on allowing the players to be the heroes, relying on their own abilities, rather than focusing on the magic items they carry.
Every feat should remain viable, at every level.
Inside Feats Reforged, Volume I, you will find an amazing 180 reforged feats from the Core Rules and Bestiary. With these new variations of the classic feats you will find much more utility and benefit, even after leveling past their initial value. Hammer these into your game and reforge your feats!

I got it after I saw the email from Drivethru/RPG Now, I then skimmed it and wrote a very short review.
It addresses what many players have whined about in several of the threads that I have seen on these forums. It helps to keep Fighters, and to an extent Rogues (really, any character that relies on feats for a character concept) to be viable throughout the game and not just at the earlier levels when small bonuses mean more. I gave it 5-stars because in my view it is a must-have. It addresses far more feats than I would have guessed.
Skill feats still remain viable at higher level as that measly bonus also gets a couple of re-rolls per day. Nothing major, but it still helps the character to be that more likely to succeed when it matters.
Combat feats get a little oomph as the character levels up. Weapon Specialization and Weapon Finesse come to mind immediately as feats that benefit from this.
Thank you for making this product. My only gripe is that it didn't have a Hero Lab file (I should just change my screen name to "HeroLab Advocate"). However, this is understood as the easiest way to implement it all would be to replace the base data. Frankly, not everyone wants to do that, as that literally replaces it when it the user file is present in the Pathfinder data folder. So, for those that do not understand what I just said, there needs to be a user file with the data in a certain folder. If it is there, it uses this book. If it isn't, it will not. One method for on/off would be to put the file in the folder when you want to use it, another method is to create a copy of the game and plop it in there and let it stay there.

I hear that, but I wanted to make a product that was fully compatible with the rules as they exist, and not a copy of Marc Radle's article in Gygax #1. You are certainly welcome to do so in your home games though, and I think that would be pretty cool to see.
No problem, I almost always buy feat supplements, and always think feats could be powered up, but this one was kinda disappointing, as it announces "reworked", and all I got some vanilla bonuses added to higher levels of existing feats.
Still pretty good for the price. Would rather use this than the core feats as written.
QUESTION: what does "add +1 to any special weapon features granted by the exotic weapon" in Ex.W.Proficiency mean?
BTW, does that article in Gygax magazine include feat write-ups or just theories?

The article in Gygax #1, "Scaling Combat Feats", includes a number of full feat write-ups which replace certain feat-chains with single feats whose benefits increase with a character's BAB. For instance, the Scaling version of Vital Strike replaces Vital Strike, Improved Vital Strike, and Greater Vital Strike.
(FYI: the .pdf is only US$4.95. ;) )

It means if you have a weapon with the disarming special quality, that grants +2 to your disarm combat maneuvers, then you'd actually get a +3 bonus when you reached that level of ability with the feat.

We should have an updated v1.1 of Feats Reforged available tonight. I'm finalizing the changes this morning, so be sure to download the new version when it updates!
"Vol. I, Core Rules" what would you be looking for before Vol.II and such or are you already doing them?
You are correct Sir! Next up are the feats from the Player's Guide. I intend to give those feats a "reforging" as well as everything in Ultimate Combat and Ultimate Magic in volumes III and IV respectively.

Hey everyone, hope you don't if I jump in here, but I just stumbled across this thread.
Feats Reforged looks very cool!
Since Scaling Combat Feats came up, the New Paths Compendium from Kobold Press has reprinted the Scaling Combat Feats for Pathfinder RPG that were first published in the premiere issue of Gygax magazine - they proved to be so popular we decided to include them in the New Paths Compendium's Feats chapter :)
Sorry for the mini threadjack!
