Taarik concentrates and uses one of his supernatural abilities to turn into a shadow and effectively become invisible for a couple of seconds. Then he moves past his female opponent and tries to appear in their back!

This is a supernatural ability. This racial trait replaces shadow magic.

So can I do an accelerated climb to get on the roof in a move action using that auto-success? I'd like to get up on the roof and cast telekinetic projectile at Ledford, if I can do so without soft cover, otherwise Deandre.

Deandre swipes at Taariik but misses. Cursing at her inept henchmen, she channels a wave of negative energy.

In concerted effort, the recruits shoot and run Deandre through and through. "#&*^$@#%^ Pathfinders..." She won't be coming back - ever.
You check the Aspis bodies then pick up Patros out of the gutter and head back at the Grand Lodge. There, you are met shortly by Ambrus Valsin, who assures you that your attackers will be investigated by the proper authorities and then reimburses your group for the trouble. He then gets down to business.
"Congratulations. That sounds like a close call." Ambrus says, not quite smiling, though his mustache twitches a little. I'll have to hire better thugs next time. " You have proven not only your skill and responsibility, but also that you can handle yourselves in trouble. I cannot promise that your work in the Society will be without danger, but I can promise that your next mission will not be common errands for the Society, and might possibly take you beyond the city's walls. In fact a Venture-Captain has recently spoken to me about putting a group together for something, and I think your group would suit her mission just fine."
