PFS legal?

two questions: is this combo PFS legal, and will it be as effective as it looks?

Plumekith Aasimar [Scion of Humanity]
Martial Artist 5/Urban Barbarian 2
Feats:
1- Wpn Finesse
3- Dervish Dance
5- Martial Versatility [Dervish Dance]
7- Arcane Strike
(plus Monk feats, obviously)

could start with 20 dex and rage up to 24 (with no fatigue for dropping), plus potentially get item/buff on top. Martial Versatility would let you use Dervish Dance with a Temple Sword, which means you can flurry with it!

thoughts?

I do not think Martial Versatility allows you to use a feat on a weapon you could not normally use that feat on.

For what it's worth, if you want to find out if something is PFS legal, you really should ask that in the PDF forum ...

Not really possible IMHO, as the Scimitar isn't a monk weapon, and the Martial Artist ability only applies to such weapons (and not whole weapon groups).

yeah martial versatility does not work that way

No... Dervish Dance applies to Scimitar, which is not a monk weapon.

The Martial Artist lets you take fighter feats that apply to a specific weapon with the monk quality.

Martial Versatility has to target a specific combat feat, and takes fighter level 4. Dervish dance is not applying to a monk weapon, which is the only way that you can use the Martial Artist to by pass the fighter level on it. Since it doesn't target a monk weapon, it targets the scimitar based feat, you can't get it that way.

Note: you can already flurry with a temple sword, using str to damage. You can put agile on the sword, getting dex to damage.

The martial artist ability would have to target a fighter feat that chooses a monk weapon.

If you happened to be a monk/cleric with the crusader flurry feat, then you can target that feat and be able to flurry with anything in that group. (use the one with bastard sword for all heavy blades) and then, you can flurry with an agile Elven curve blade.

Crusader Cleric 1(free weapon focus) channeling, weapon finesse(1st).
martial artist monk 4 crusader flurry(3rd), Martial Versatility-(Crusader Flurry)(5th).
Urban Barbarian 2(Dex rage, other stuff)EWP Elven Curve blade, +1 Agile. d10 finessable 18-20x2 crit.

Then back to martial artist for fatigue immunity, etc.
