Craft Constructs Questions

Advice

Would it be possible to use Craft Construct to make an animated cannon that could have abundant ammunition permanently enchanted upon it? Then direct it to fire at your enemies?

Also, could one make an already built wagon into an animated object using the craft construct feat? There's a wagon that our group has grown attached to and we want to make upgrades on it. Figured having it move on command may come in handy at some point.

Just curious. Trying to find the boundaries of craft construct as it seems at least, to offer lots of versatility.

I believe Craft Construct is for things like Golems. What you may be looking for is a cannon with a few permanent spells put onto it. That being said you could probably CREATE a cannon golem....

and the wagon with about the same thing, enchant it with permanent spells.

Well, from what I'm seeing, craft construct allows for all sorts of different constructs outside of just golems.

Looking at it, it seems that animated objects and other things are available. So I figured originally that I could make an animated wagon or cannon. Of course I could be misleading myself.

It is possible to make permanent animated objects - which are immune to dispel and AMF - using the craft construct, but for custom items you should ALWAYS consult your GM, because he or she has the final word on everything. And designer magic items are always a GM thing.

A self-powered wagon with no attacks(maybe bull rush, overrun and the like) is no more powerful than a wagon pulled by a construct that can fight like a construct.

About the animated cannon:
Even goliath clockwork and cannon golem have magazines with 12 and 20 cannonballs respectively, so an animated cannon should also have a limit. But with combats lasting only a few rounds that shouldn't be a problem.
