Reason I ask is because with a City building game have been running.

1 Alchemist Lab, 2 Barracks, 1 Brewery, 1 Engineer's Lab, 1 Wizard Library, 4 Dumps, 1 granary, 2 graveyards, 3 libraries, 1 manor house, 1 inn, 2 Mills, 1 Market, 1 Monument, 1 Pier, 4 Shope's, 1 Shrine, 3 Smithies, Fletcher's and Tannery, 2 Taverns, Butchers, Bakers, Candlestick-maker's, Wagon-wright, Shipwright A wall rings the city with a dozen watchtowers. around the city.
All in all that is 58 "lot's worth of stuff.
In the rules it says that one city is made up of 9 Blocks, Each block is made up of 4 lots.
Im just asking theres nothing that says city has to be perfectly square ?

You attach a new district adjacent to the first one.
Nothing forces you to use all of the lots in a single district, but since districts and lots are an abstraction (your city can be any shape you want, the square grid is just for ease of play), it makes it easier to do so.
