The feat Unsanctioned Knowledge would add the roleplay flavor of studying some arcane spells as a Paladin.
You can get some neat stuff like Dimension Door, Mirror Image or invisibility.
It's only 4 spells, but I think it fits what you're trying to accomplish roleplay wise while not hurting you mechanically. You only need 13 Int which is still high for a paladin but better than 14-16 if you wanted to actually cast from a wizard spell book.
