EDIT: C'mon PMG, I just, I was just, I just- okay.
How many heartbeats does it take to fully circulate the blood in the average human body?
AHEM. Now to answer this question.
It pumps oxygen and nutrient-rich blood throughout your body to sustain life. This fist-sized powerhouse beats (expands and contracts) 100,000 times per day, pumping five or six quarts of blood each minute, or about 2,000 gallons per day.
Scientists estimate the volume of blood in a human body to be approximately 7 percent of body weight. An average adult body with a weight of 150 to 180 pounds will contain approximately 4.7 to 5.5 liters (1.2 to 1.5 gallons) of blood.
four quarts in a gallon
Uh, source, I guess.
So, according to the Google Calculator, that's 6 quarts of blood in 1.5 gallons. This number is irrelevant to what I'm about to say, so ignore it.
100k pumps (heartbeats) to circulate 2k gallons -> 50 pumps per gallon.
At about 1.5 gallons, it'd take about 75 pumps to go through a hypothetical volume equal to your expected total blood amount.
(I'm fat, though, so I probably have more blood. Maybe, I guess, I don't know. Seems to indicate that in the first thing, anyway.)
Whether it actually gets all your blood? I'unno.
B-b-b-booooooooooooooonus!
A rapid or fast heartbeat is when your heart is beating faster than normal. A normal heart rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute. Tachycardia is considered a heart rate of greater than 100 beats per minute. If you are exercising, or performing any kind of activity, your heart will normally beat faster.
That means, on average ([60+100]/2=160/2=80 per minute) your heart pumps an amount equal to your full blood amount in your body per minute.
(As an aside, there are 1440 minutes in a 24 hour day, so things like, "it pumps 60-100/minute," means 86400 to 144000 per day, averaging out to 115,200 per day; thus "100,000 times per day" doesn't perfectly add up neatly, if you're assuming averages - someone's doing rounding somewhere, or the "60-100" is weighted, or both - so these are "close" answers, rather than "precise" answers.)
((As an even greater aside, ([80/75]*1440=1536) means that an amount equal to your total blood fully circulates around 1536 times per day, presupposing you're a fairly healthy weight; less if you're heaftier, like I am.))

Whose names besides Neil Peart’s have I been mispronouncing all along?
Here's 19 from Reader's Digest
- Rihanna
- Ralph Fiennes
- Amanda Seyfried
- Martin Scorsese
- Demi Moore I wouldn't follow the pronunciation guide on this one
- Eva Mendez
- Lindsay Lohan
- Ralph Lauren
- Steve Buscemi
- Ioann Gruffudd ... who?
This one requires you to click through slides - I'm not doing it.
Vogue has a list:
- Chrissy Teigen
- Ariana Grande
- Niall Horan
- Louis Tomlinson
- Zendaya
- Cara Delevingne
- Amanda Seyfried
- Rihanna
- Eva Mendes
- Charlize Theron
- Saoirse Ronan
- Mia Wasikowska
- Princess Eugenie
I know, like, half that list.
Anyway, I refuse, on principle, to link the one that requires removal of ad blockers (especially since I don't actually have ad blockers).

What’s the best way to synchronize the currents of 512 railguns each 4–8 segments long to control up to 32 simultaneous projectiles moving in a horizontal plane where some or all may need to fire in sequences or simultaneously, assuming extremely low projectile velocities (~inch/sec) and mass (less than a gram)

Though, more seriously, quite possibly somewhere in Southern California. Maybe also Florida. I’m less certain about Florida, only because we have so many different swamp land stretches, and I’m not entirely sure how elephants would deal with those particular environments. But Chicago would be funny.

Most headphones operate somewhere in the area of 0.77 volts, give or take.
However, voltage is essentially meaningless without knowing the amperage and possibly resistance as well, as volts are simply a measure of force required to move amperage against resistance, not measure of actual electrical current power or potential.
Amperage is the measure of the actual rate of electron flow, with resistance being the measure of... well, how much the conducting material resists electricity flowing through it (obviously). Knowing THOSE numbers will tell you a lot more about the kind of power you're packing.
