If a PC wants to examine the cause of death of a creature killed by channel negative energy. Is there a way to find out? Visible wounds, magical aura etc.?
In general, what checks apply for death investigations?
I'd say the Detect Magic cantrip and other devices could be used to ferret out the fact that magic was in play during the scene.

Atrophied flesh, emaciation, fragile and pale skin, sunken eyes, coldness... Generally, I would say someone killed that way looks as if he aged to death.
