Druid with healing domain

Advice

Liberty's Edge

Is there a way, possibly via archetype trickery, to get a druid the healing domain?

Sovereign Court

Not seeing any big obvious way. Quite a few other domains but not healing. Discuss with your GM about it is probably your best solution.

Though why do you want the healing domain on a druid?

The Exchange

I don't know any paizo material for it. the lack of restoration sucks along with the higher spell level of cure mod or higher spells.

I think it is intentionally out of theme for Druids.

As a houserule, I think it's reasonable to add it to the Urban Druid's domain list. By RAW, I don't think there's a way to do it.

Liberty's Edge

I also had this thought with a Reincarnated Druid concept. I thought that the Resurrection subdomain would be very thematically appropriate. Sadly, I don't see a way to accomplish this at all within RAW.

Liberty's Edge

I'm surprised it doesn't show up on one of the animal shaman alternate domain lists. Bears and serpents, for example, have a mythological tie to healing for a lot of cultures.

Not that I know of. Cleric with Animal/Plant/Weather/etc Domains is the closest thing to a Healy Druid AFAIK.

Faiths and Philosophies has the Vulture Domain, as a new available Domain for Druids.

Vulture Domain

Granted Powers: Yours is the power of death and rebirth. Your spirit soars above all and moves with the flow of unseen currents.
Death’s Companion (Ex): Your totem grants you
protection from the harbingers of death. As an
immediate action, you gain a +2 bonus on saving
throws against disease, death spells, and death
effects that lasts a number of rounds equal to your
druid level. This bonus increases by 2 at 6th level and
every 5 levels thereafter, to a maximum of +8 at 16th level.
You may use this ability a number of times per day equal
to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

Agent of Rebirth (Sp): At 8th level, you may expend a
quantity of special oils worth 1,000 gp to cast reincarnate
as a spell-like ability usable once per day. Additionally,
when using this ability or casting reincarnate as a prepared
spell, you have some influence over the physical form that
the reincarnated spirit will take. When rolling against the
spell’s incarnation table, you may roll twice and choose
between the two results.

Domain Spells: 1st—deathwatch, 2nd—glide, 3rd—death knell, 4th—death ward, 5th—breath of life, 6th—circle of death, 7th—resurrection, 8th—finger of death, 9th—winds of vengeance.

Liberty's Edge

I'm really after empowered healing from the Healing Domain.

The Exchange

Why not play a nature cleric? I really enjoyed playing a cleric of gozreh.

You can probably find a domin for beast shape or something for nature powers if that's not your thing.

Grand Lodge

Well, you could just take the Empower Spell feat, or grab a Metamagic Rod.

Sovereign Court

Maybe a better question for us to ask is why do you want to be a druid if our looking for a particular ability of a particular domain?

Grand Lodge

Why must the ability come from this domain?

If the Empowering your Cure spells is all you seek, then that is easy to do.

Is there something else from the Domain you want?

Liberty's Edge

Nothing super complicated. I just want to be a druid with free empowered heals. It doesn't look like it's possible.

Thanks anyway.

Grand Lodge

You could nab a Familiar granting Domain, then the Adept Channel feat, and take 3 levels in Holy Vindicator.

Free empowered on yourself, at least.

I wonder when this gets moved to the SRD.

Liberty's Edge

What domains does each Quah get?

Liberty's Edge

Nevermind. None of them get Healing. =(

Are those domains that a Druid would have access to?

You know, because concept Clerics are "banned" on Golarion.

Try reading the Blog then. They're for both Clerics and Druids, and in fact all Domain classes (albeit it calls out Inquisitors as a strange match for Shoanti culture, although if you strip out the repeating crossbows, whips, and fedoras, I don't see why that can't work too)

And here I thought they'd never make exceptions like that...

I didn't know about this blog entry. Cool option for playing a cleric with a flavourful deity but only one domain you like.
Or for a Druid that is. But no luck with the healing domain.

I wouldn't call it an exception, it explicitly says you are still worshipping the exact same Deity.
It's basically no different than the Druid Shaman Archetypes, or Urban Druid, or the Cleric Separatist Archetype, which change your Domain options.

What precisely do you want from the druid? Because there are some 3rd party options that might work. It just depends on what you are going for.

You want empowered healing, druid spells I presume, anything else critical to the character?
