Is it posible to just buy an expansion?
I'm only really tempted by Expansion 2 and a couple of add-ons.
Yes, pledge at the dollar level and you pay a dollar plus whatever the cost of your addons. You can also put it for the 100$ level and not get the core and just pick and choose what you want as long as you spend 100$ or more.
I'm in at the 100$ level and picking and choosing. It works out better on shipping this way. I don't get as much (by figure count) but I get more of what I actually want.

If you want around 100 dollars worth of stuff you can also pledge at the 100 dollar level. Reaper says you can spend the 100 dollars any way you like - either on a core set, or 2 expansions, or 1 expansion + add ons, or all add ons.

And a scale shot of the tarrasque, although most of the details are covered - I think someone has masked him off for air brushing:

And now there's an amazing Ruins: Dragon fighting Adventurers. All yours for $35. Picture
Plus I believe Reaper said for those near Denton you'll be able to pick up your mini's

Even more pics of the ruins and the tarrasque and the dragons:

Nearly went in for Options 2, Tarrasque, a dragon and the Kraken.
Pledge calculator showed $50 shipping and I decided that it wasn't such a sweet deal, especially with the import duty I'll also have to suck up putting the final cost at around $200.
If I had a friend who lived next door to Reaper then I would have been in.
I'm looking forward to seeing some painted tarrasques on the reaper forums.

Bet Reaper looks at your order and is going to be like "DAT SHIPPING!"

Meh, I still stayed out this time.
The postage was just a deal breaker to me.
Same. I ummed and ahhed plenty, till about 100 minutes left. Then I just put it out of my mind. It was just too difficult to manage, both going to the pledge calculator and then the shipping. As a filter it worked - though very interested in dropping @$100 on minis, the shipping and the complexity (oh no, another web page, oh noes!) nixed it.

It's actually not that bad, only about 20% of the total order is shipping.
Divided among 5 people (okay, technically only 4,5 people as one of them isn't in on any of the bigger/heavier boxes so it would be unfair to have him pay the same as the rest of us).

My bones pledge: 1$ level (october shipping) containing
[From the Core set]
1 Gnolls and Bugbears
1 Shambling Dead
1 Lesser Demons
1 Swamp Things
1 Mr Bones
1 Troll Slayer Sophie
1 Barbarians
[From the add ons]
1 Lords of Darkness
1 Unleash the Kraken!
1 Gelatinous Cube
1 Greater Demons
1 Hill Giants
1 Mashaaf, Great Old One
1 Khanjira, the World Breaker (how could you not)
1 Thank You Set
That is all. I'm really looking forward to purchasing some of the other miniatures as well when they hit retail. The first expansion contained quite a few that I'm interested in, but not enough to make me put down 50$.

It certainly wasn't as user friendly this time, and the way they did the add-on packs was a bit strange, perhaps they take it on board for the next time.

First World Problems :(
I got members of my gaming group to pitch in. Particularly if you are usually the one that gets stuff like minis and such, its pretty easy to get them to chip in a few bucks each, if you can get 3 or 4 of them to help, that can easily cover the cost of an expansion.
Tried that on the last one, got a group of togethers to pitch in and I fronted. Guess who never got paid back by any of them? Now all the minis are mine and they don't get any of them.
The players in my group are a lot of cheap skates. I make less money than several of them, yet I always bring snacks to every game session (most don't even bring a bottle of water for themselves). Period. I also always fork over money for pizza/food. I am the only one to have bought all the hardcover books, and several of the setting books.
They often come up with excuses like they're broke right now, but then a few days later I hear about how so-and-so dropped $200 on magic cards, or $80 on a new Warmachine mini, or just spent $60 on video game DLC. Granted, we all have our own hobbies, but when they show up at the table and most of their characters are using minis I bought and painted....
'tis most frustrating.
You need different friends. First rule of gaming, dont game with jerks.

Is there a site for choosing options and locking in those options yet?
Also any advice is welcome on this....
I am getting the core set with Dragons don't share and the Kraken.
In addition I can get either:
A- Gelatinous Cube and oozes, Mashaaf the Great Old One, Water Elementals, Dungeon Decor 2, an extra Dungeon Decor 1 and an extra Basilisk.
OR
B- Expansion Set 1
I am leaning towards option A because my thought is that what I want from Expansion Set 1 would cost less to get in-store. I wouldn't need to get all of ES1 although there is a good amount of stuff there for the money.
Thoughts? Pros and Cons? Ideas on some in-store pricing to gauge better?
