I wonder how Mythic rules will impact builds posted...

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I don't own the Mythic rulebook just yet, but I wonder how inclusion of mythic tiers will impact the submission of builds on the advice or general forums.

Basically from what I've seen of the previews, with mythic abilities/feats/spells its hard not to make a good character, a super good one, even. For my part, I'm probably going to stick to the core rules, as not all DMs (even less than the usual, really) will be open to Mythic rules.

But hey, maybe I'm wrong and mythic tiers will be the next new must have thing for optimization.

You can't count on mythic for optimization and that is the point. It is compelete GM control contant. If the GM want to give you a mythic teir he can, if he don't he does not have to. He also has the ablity to use the contant totally aganist you and have you never get to have it. Providing actual changellege. It give the gm the ablity to give that Teir when ever also. he want to give you mythic powers at level 1 you can have them, if he want to give it to you at level 7 you can have it there or could even wait until level 20 to give it to you. It can come at any time GM choose and that is the beauty of it.

I think that mythic tiers shouldn't affect them at all. Mythic tiers aren't like feats, archetypes or spells - they aren't supposed to be a baseline toolbox for every character and every game. Certain games, certain stories and adventures bring in mythic tiers as a special reward/flavor.

I can't imagine people would use it as some sort of base comparison. No one has really assumed Hero Points for builds.
