FAQ

Does protection from evil (good/law/etc.) work against all charm and compulsion effects? Or does it just work against charm and compulsion effects where the caster is able to exercise control over the target, such as charm person, command, and dominate person (and thus not effects like sleep or confusion, as the caster does not have ongoing influence or puppet-like control of the target)?

The latter interpretation is correct: protection from evil only works on charm and compulsion effects where the caster is able to exercise control over the target, such as command, charm person, and dominate person; it doesn't work on sleep or confusion.

Ah, killing him is not good enough... But you can slice his arms and legs if you want... Also his tongue. A one-way trip to hell is much more fun.

Any prepared actions happen before the spell. Also I remember seeing rules a while ago about targeting specific body parts. Does anyone know where I can find them?

I wasn't sure how afraid of death he was... Maybe it'd be doing him a favor. Being sent to the Abyss with the symbol of the most hated enemies of all demons is a lot worse.

Besides, Clerics usually have great will saves, and resisting a 3rd level spell is not difficult.

All his action were looking for a quick death (the losing of his tongue also stoped the spell), he was confident of his will save. The plane shift to the abyss was resourcefully cruel though.

Had he spoken truthfully instead of trying to kill us, I might have decided for a lesser sentence. I even told him that. But since he was so adamant about not revealing anything, what did I have to lose?

But yeah... I honestly feel bad about it. lol.

Then again... He did kill and steal the soul of at least 1 man. Most likely many more. And if he had died, he would probably go to Abaddon anyway, the Abyss is not that different.

Additionally, I cannot keep up with 75+ posts/day, let alone outside of combat, especially with a 4 player "table". I really wish I could because it is a mark of great role playing. Will this be the regular pace of the game?

Yeah... I think we 3 spend too much free time around here... We should probably slow down the rapid-posting. I don't have a problem waiting longer for taking our actions. I just got to excited with the scene... lol.

I am having problems creating the map, I can not se a way to create alarge creature, I have download a couple of monster tokens but not the monster i am searching for :/

Does somebody have create a token in RPGtool or something?

You could swap to Roll20 like I use. =)

Then you can just import pictures from the internet and turn them into tokens. Making them Large or larger is as simple as expanding them to cover enough squares for a Large or larger creature.

Well, Nicos, I think the only way would be posting 2 different maps (one for those with darkvision and one for thsoe who can't see in the dark), create a different spoiler for each one and trust the players to not meta-game.

That shouldn't be a problem. Considering we're in a PbP campaign, if anyone wants to metagame to their hearts content, there is not much the GM can do, anyway...

You know, the tokens don't have to match the monster. Just slap something down and say "That's what this is" just like you're doing with the Daemons.
