Kobal's parents were killed by stone giants when he was very little. One of the raiders found him in his lodge and took pity on him. The clan of giants raised him to be one of them. Because of this all of Kobal's training was of the body, he never learned manners, or how to read. Kobal proved to be a worthy step-giant. He was never able to master wielding their weapons, but his strength was immense and he wields a greatsword like a normal man wields a longsword. Kobal left his tribe when he turned 16 and decided to do take up a role as a mercenary. Life for hire didn't suit Kobal and he soon realized that all he wanted was the chance to fight, to feel blood running down his hands again and to yell his battle cry across a field at his enem.
