Jenny: Right now the seaweed is floating lazily in the mild current in the lake, approximately 30' from you. If you wish you can make a knowledge...uh...seaweed check

I don't know anything about stuff that isn't jellies, or otherwise slimy, goopy or icky. I don't think the seaweed qualifies.

Okay, I swim closer to one.

Sovereign Court

Jenny: Please make a perception check

Unless Alissa stops him he heads down the tunnel to see what is beyond his sight.

Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22

Sovereign Court

Nasty: The tunnel is quite narrow and you must move at half speed to avoid scraping yourself on the jagged rocks. As you move ahead you see the tunnel goes down about 15' and then meanders off to your right.

Jenny: Something about this seaweed is not quite right.

"Okay, guys... seaweed is strange..."

Can I avoid it if I am going downward?

Sovereign Court

Jenny:You can avoid most of it, it looks like 8 of the fronds are particulary long and can reach the middle of the lake

Hmmm... whatever it is, it's probably going to be a problem related to grappling. I put everything I can away in my backpack, and cast grease at myself, covering myself in a layer of slippery goop. Then I start diving.

Still following Nesod, I guess...

Wait ... Are we splitting the party !!!!!

"That sounds like a bad idea, doesn't it? The chamber there is the egg chamber of the goldfish piranhas. I doubt they have anything interesting for us there. They're just territorial."

Sovereign Court

Jenny: The strangleweeds do not know what to make of a transluscent cube so you are able to pass. About 100' below you, you notice an orange glow.

AMS: Are you with Jenny or Alissa/Nasty?

Nasty: Yes!!!!

(Ah, I was in human shape... That was what I needed the grease spell for)

Sovereign Court

Jenny: Ok then...Well a frond reaches out to grab you and feels the slime on your body and decides you and it are basically the same. I am not doing grapple stuff

Liberty's Edge

Lovely.

Yay =) I keep swimming down.

"Watch out... the seaweed are huggy."

I guess I'm staying where I'm at for now, but I stay away from seaweed and gold fish.

"Tight fit in here Alissa. Want me to look further? Or should we go back to the rest of the group?"

Sovereign Court

Jenny: You make it down another 50' till you see a passageway that heads to your right and upwards towards the goldfish hatchery and a 10' wide passageway heading down. You will notice a large creature swimming in the alcove below you.

AMS: So you are with Alissa/Nasty on the left side of the lake

Liberty's Edge

"Can I head over to AM S?"

Sovereign Court

Nesod:Of course you can, So I have everyone except Jenny by the 4' wide passageway on the left side of the lake.

Let's wait for Jenny. See what she found.

Hmmm... big creature. That sounds bad. Okay, I swim back up to the others, since they're not coming over to me.

"Something big down there, and in case you missed it, the seaweed is dangerous. So, what we doing, gang?"

Liberty's Edge

"Dangerous how?"

We have 3 choices if we want to continue exploring.
1 - We can go thru the hatchery.
2 - We can go thru the passage Jenny explored, but there is carniverous seaweed and a large unknown creature.
3 - We can go down the passage Nasty started exploring, but is dark beyond Nasty's sight.

That sums it up

"Goldfish tunnel sounds like a waste of time, not to mention they will eat us. I don't have anything to eat or kill swarms."

Looks like it's the dark tunnel for now.

*Gets out a bullseye lantern and lights it.*

"Large unknown creature sounds tasty."

Sovereign Court

Alissa: The tunnel heads in about 15' then turns downward, as stated before the tunnel is 4' wide and lined with jaggeds rocks, so movement is at half speed unless you wish to bump and bruise yourselves for minor damage.

*Taking the Time to Check for Traps.*

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22

Sovereign Court

Alissa: You see no traps, as you reach the point where the passageway turns downward. The passageway goes down another 10' and the turns slightly right.

*Following path. Constantly checking.*

Sovereign Court

Alissa: The passageway meanders it's way down about 200' and opens into a 50' x 50' alcove.

Oh yeah by the way at the bottom of this alcove sits a monstorous sized giant turtle with blazing red eyes and shards of flesh hanging from it's bony frame. It's shell is black and cracked.

Is it alive?
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (2) + 10 = 12

Looks dead to me fellas.

Sovereign Court

Alissa: 12 maybe

Liberty's Edge

Detect Magic.

No need, I think the blazing red eyes are a dead give away.

Sovereign Court

Nesod/AMS: between the 2 of you, you determine that it is in fact undead

Liberty's Edge

Knowledge(Religion): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Sovereign Court

Nesod: What are you trying to determine?

Liberty's Edge

What it is.

Sovereign Court

Nesod: looks like a big zombie turtle.

"Want me to kill it boss?"

Sovereign Court

FYI, I will be at dunDraCon this 3 day weekend so posts will be infrequent at best, Everyone have a great weekend

Liberty's Edge

Not to be outdone by our fair GM, I'll be at TotalCon next week Thurs-Sun. I will be...how you say? Off the grid.

(So me and Lissa and Nasty will be staring at a big, ugly lump of shelled dead flesh for three days? =))

Sovereign Court

Jenny: There are worse places to be. Think of it as a tropical vacation with a zombie turtle.

Liberty's Edge

I vote we re-un alive it.
