Hey guys.
I'm currently working on character sheets for the PAC, just letting folks know they're in the works.
To that end, what information would be most useful to players to have on the sheets? Clearly information on what feats you've selected, but what other information?
Right now, i'm setting the pages up to be landscape, and have the Skills and basic Powers on the front, and then a large table on the back allowing you to record what cards are part of your deck, with an eye to a potential Organized Play program using this system.
Yes, i'm a huge fan of seeing a Pathfinder Society-style OP system for this.

Do you think that rather than making it two sided, it's better to try and compress it onto a single "side" so that you can play from it? I could imagine that people might want a reminder about what they seeded into their deck (oh yeah, I have that Spyglass in there somewhere; I really want to try to cycle cards a little bit to try and get it).
Obviously once you add the roles, it becomes more complicated; are you thinking that you'll just have different "sheets" for each role variation? Also, the more consistent you can be in terms of layout between the character/role combinations, the better, since that'll give people a basic comfort level when switching between characters.
I tried making a spreadsheet to handle simple recording of feat/role selection, and the record of what cards were in a deck, and while (I think) it'll fit on one sheet fairly nicely, it's more along the lines of a long-term record, and not really something that's conducive to play from. I'd originally started out in landscape mode, but found that even with the width of the card names from the rule PDF, I ran into width problems, and eventually settled on shifting back to portrait.
If it's of use to anyone (even if it's just something to throw stones at), I can certainly post it somewhere and link to it. Any suggestions as to where the right-est place would be?

I'd love to have somewheree on the sheet to record the character's history so it'll feel more like an RPG character. Even if its just a list of scenarios taken part in, success/failure, and what bonus was gained (assuming success). That way I can look at the sheet and see what they've done - not to mention talking about the character with other player's. "Do you remember when we kicked Black Fang's butt and I got that great sword? It came in handy when the goblins raided Sandpoint.".

Thanks for putting these up! I have a question about them though, that may be relevant for future sheets: would it be easier to just have some blank lines under each section instead of listing every possible card? Right now the sheet is comprehensive to be sure, and easy to check off which cards you have, but it seems like it's going to need revising with every new AP pack.
The same usefulness could be given by just leaving 15-20 blank spaces in each section (Weapons/Armor/etc.) for players to write in which cards they've collected. This would save lots of room on the sheet itself and be more universal with expansions and such.
Just a thought :D I'm happy to see them either way, I remember asking about them at PaizoCon, glad to see Paizo got on them so fast! Can't wait to get my hands on the actual game!

Let's discuss that again in about a year!

As I remember the rules, revealing a card is literally showing that it is in your hand, unplayed.
Also as I remember the rules, you don't play an ally during a check, you play it BEFORE making a check, and then use the in-play card during the check.
The difference may be subtle, but it prevents the point Youperguy's discussing.
It has been a while since I moved away from the play test group I was in, though, so I haven't really had any reason to reinforce the rules in my head.

For Lini's power:
You may reveal an ally with the Animal trait to add 1d4 ( +1) ( +2) to your check.
Can she use this power and then play an ally on the same check? Or does this count as her Ally play for the turn?
Playing a card means activating a card’s power by revealing, displaying, discarding, recharging, burying, or banishing the card.
When you reveal the ally to trigger Lini's power, you're not actually *playing* the ally—its own power is not being activated. You can still play an ally on the check. (It can even be the one you revealed to activate Lini's power!)

I try to avoid storing playtest mechanics in my brain, so I can't confirm that either of those things were correct in the playtest, but they're definitely not correct now.
