When on my turn do I declare Cagm?

Rules Questions

Can it be at any point during my initiative count or is it only beginning or end of my turn?

Free action generally means at any point during your turn, but not as a reaction to actions of others.

Ok sounds like how we were handling it intuitively. Thanks hopefully one or two more will affirm and lay this fully barest as pf rules of late seem to have hidden curves abound!

While it may have worked this time, in general it's probably not wise to use acronyms if you want (quick) rules answers. I had to search the forums to figure out what "Cagm" was supposed to be, while if you had simply written "Come and get me" I could have instead spent that time looking up the ability to provide an answer :)

To answer the question: You can perform a free action at any point during your turn, even during your other actions. You usually can't perform free actions on other people's turns. So you can for instance activate it at the beginning of your turn, or at the end, or in the middle of a full-attack.

The ability ends just before your next initiative count, so if you want to always have the ability active, you would need to activate it as soon as your turn begins.

Ok, but for tactical reasons not always perse. I got it though. Next is trying to word a question simply enough to get the answer without confusion. If I use lunge on my turn and move up to attack someone who has reach and also declare Cagm does that mean I can AoO from 10 feet as it's the threatened square I am leaving and is provoking an AoO if I continue thru the square?

Yes. You're still 10 ft away at the time the opponent's AoO is performed (as it happens before you leave that square), which means you're also still 10 ft away at the time you make your AoO in response to your opponent's AoO.

Keep in mind that the benefits of Lunge end when your turn ends (although the penalties remain), so it will only apply to AoO's you get on your turn.

Everyting Are said.

It's worth noting that a Free Action must be part of another action - if you can't take any actions, that includes Free ones - and that your GM has the final call on the number of Free Actions you can take in any given round. Notably, they can be part of Immediate Actions and Attacks of Opportunity(Combat Reflexes + Improved Snapshot + Rapid Reload would be pretty lack-luster if it wasn't so).

If you have a specific strategy in mind - as a Barbarian rage cycling comes to mind - talk to your GM and make sure s/he's fine with it before you wade into that herd of angry zombie gnolls.
