Has anyone tried modeling Golarion's Solar System in the Universe Sandbox yet? That could be an interesting project.

Can you build in exceptions for planets like Triaxus and Aucturn that don't obey the standard laws of physics?

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could. :)

I did build the Golarion system in Universe Sandbox! Quite a while ago, in fact.

If lu_ming doesn't post up a link, I think I'll have to give it a whack.

I've considered trying a meatspace version, but then I recall a 9th-grade science project where we had to walk down the Greenbelt (a line of parks, footpaths, and such along the river through town) doing rubbings of a series of markers displaying the locations of the planets to scale, and I realized I lack available square-mileage to make that happen.

EDIT: Damn. I've only got, like, eight bucks in the PayPal. Bookmarking for later purchase.

I've been spending the last four and a half hours trying to get this computer updated so Universe Sandbox can run. My compy's down, so I'm using an old backup, and it may not even be able to handle the damn thing. Once the laptop's up and running again, I know I'll be able to get it to go on there. But for now, I'd put my chances to get it running successfully at 51.073%.

Now to continue literally a gig of Windows updates.

I'm gonna have to wait 'til I get my good computer back up and running. This machine and Universe Sandbox don't want to simulate the music of the spheres for me.

WOO-HOO! I'm handing my sad little laptop to a friend for fixification this weekend; soon as it's fixed, it's getting a belly full of Universe Sandbox. Even if lu_ming's version is perfect, I still might give my own version a shot.

Finally got to check out lu ming's file. Nice stuff. :D

I won't be able to buy it while it is on sale, but it is regularly $10 bucks, so it ain't bad at full price, lol.

For a solar system/galaxy physics simulator, it's mad cheap. I'd like some way to add in objects, though.

In truth, you could make a universe of teapots as-is, which is all we really need. :D

Just had a look at lu_ming's and noticed something - somewhere about the 10-12 year mark, Aballon seems to get catapulted out of the system faster than the speed of light.
