So I don't know how many of you end up getting the random screen caps people put up on facebook like I do but for once I saw one that I actually thought was interesting

Anyways that got me thinking about the whole concept of having all these lives that we have, as gamers, inhabited over the years and wondering which ones people felt were the most important to them in their gaming experience which prompted the question,

If you had to name the top 5 best lives you've lived in thanks to gaming what would they be?

Mine in no particular order are

Me in pokemon red (probably one of my first games I really got into)

Darth Revan from KOTOR 1

Booker DeWitt

Samus Aran/Kirby from supersmash bros

Corvo Attano, Mario, or maybe Hulk from Hulk: Ultimate Destruction

Special mention to the role of commander of the XCOM organization.

What about you guys?

Too many to choose, really. But I'll give it a shot.

1.) The Grey Warden from Dragon Age: Origins
2.) Sora from Kingdom Hearts (Love this series. 1&2 anyway because I don't own every handheld ever. Perhaps it should be a "guilty pleasure" after all these years but I still feel no guilt)
3.) John Marston from Red Dead Redemption
4.) Wei Shen from Sleeping Dogs
5.) The Lone Wanderer (Evil a%+@+$@ version) from Fallout 3

Honorable mention: Mordecai (and by extension Bloodwing) from Borderlands.

Sovereign Court

Quest for Glory's Hero would have to be one. Got to go through 4 adventures before with them which was always very enjoyable.

Also alot to choose from but here goes.

1.) Cecil from Final Fantasy 2 on SNES, my first RPG game also a good redemption story (well i guess its 4 in japan lol)

2.) Alucard from castlevania SotN.

3.) Samus Aran from Super Metroid.

4.) The Paladin from Diablo 2.

5.) Paragon Commander Shepherd from ME 1-3...I dont care about the ending the ride there was awesome.

Honorable mention to The nameless contestant from Unreal Tournament...no real story but I spend alot of hours mindlessly blasting as the contestant.

Liberty's Edge

Humm, I have tended to be mostly a rpg and strategy fan.

1.) Bhaalspawn from Baldur's Gate 2 (just a fantastic rpg and characters)
2.) Commander Sheppard from Mass Effect(loved the ride / ignored ending)
3.) Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy 7 (Aerith's death moved me)
4.) Darth Revan from KOTOR 1 (finally seeing a dark side to the Jedi)
5.) Xcom Commander from Xcom Enemy Unknown (I just really enjoyed leading my troops & comments)

I also really enjoyed the story of the Grey Warden from Dragon age Origins as well.

Good idea for a thread.

My top five:

- The pilot in Subterrania

- Heather Mason in Silent Hill 3

- Michael Arthate in Scratches

- Malkavian neonate in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

- Magic-focused Nord dragonborn in TES: Skyrim

My top five:

1) Commander Sheppard in Mass Effect (all of them, the story was well-developed)
2) Main Character from Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer
3) Grey Warden from Dragon Age: Origins
4) Main Character from Baldur's Gate
5) Tidus from Final Fantasy X (probably going to get in trouble for that one, but I loved the story concept)

1) The Nameless One from Planescape Torment
2) Desmond from Assassin's Creed
3) The Exile from KOTOR
4) Breton Dovahkiin I played in Skyrim
5) Isaac Clarke from Dead Space

Liberty's Edge RPG Superstar 2013 Top 16
