Dragons and Alter Self

Rules Questions

Am I reading something wrong or does a dragon using Alter Self to disguise himself as a human get +2 Str? Isn't that weird?

No, because they take a negative too. For example, a Huge Dragon going to a Medium size takes a -8 to STR. So again, that's not weird at all since that only reduces the penalty to -6.

A link to what you were reading would be helpful, but yes: Alter Self will give that +2 to Strength. It won't offset the Strength loss due to the size change though.

Oh, I get it. Thanks.

Sovereign Court

It's kind of buried in there with the polymorph rules. Took me quite some time to understand what they were getting at actually.

On the plus side, most dragons will still have above-average Strength even in human shape.

And a TON of hit-points, casting ability, etc...
