OS with Old Device Problem (Please Help)

Technology

I have gotten this voice recorder and it looks like the thing is a little old. I have plugged it in and it is recording, but I can't seem to get my PC to recognize it is plugged in.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate, but the device uses:
Windows 98/SE
Windows ME
Windows 2000
Windows XP
Linx
and Apple Os

It is my understanding Windows 7 Ultimate has a comparability mode. Any help would be great.

Thank you,
-Hexen

Have you looked for the drivers? What is the name of your device?

Looks like it is some old foreign no-name brand.

Checked the box, while the manual says one thing, the box says windows 7 and vista. I think I have been hoodwinked.

THIS seems to be the same device.

It seems relatively obscure. I'll look for drivers and fixes for windows 7 but don't get your hopes up.

Windows 7 compatibility mode is for running applications, not device drivers.

Still, if it plugs through USB it should be recognized automatically and access to recorded content available.

Sorry, couldn't find anything...

Try this site. they used to have drivers that you could just download. Now it is a program that you install and it checks to see what you need.

Drivers.com might have the fix for the problem. It is the first place I would check.
