Adam, would you ever consider some sort ofripping off ofer, "inspired homage to" Fraggle Rock wholesale? That'd be awesome~! >:D
I prefer to make up my own stuff, but I liked Fraggle Rock when I was a kid, so maybe? This actually sounds like something Crystal and I would come up with at the office. We can be dangerous like that.

Are you having fun with the Spellcasting, Technology, and Services section for Starfinder? I'm hoping to see things ranging from cosmetic surgery and body modification, sex reassignment/gender confirmation surgery, paying an appropriate doctor/technician to install various cybernetics, costs to travel to another planet in the same system if you don't have your own spaceship yet, as well as to other systems, hiring a robot housekeeper, bodyguard, or valet, and much much more...! ...as Paizo often seems to say.

I'm not working on Starfinder. I'm developing Adventure Paths, so I'm pretty insulated from what the Starfinder team is working on.

Whoops, got mixed up, sorry about that. I blame me associating flumphs with outer space and awesomeness. To make up for it:
1) Are you hoping to get to try out Starfinder sometime with a flumph PC?
2) What's your favorite extinct animal?
3) What's your favorite starmetal?

No worries! :)
1) Maybe eventually, but not as my first few characters.
2) Hmmm, this is kinda tough. I guess I'll go with a tasmanian tiger.
3) Djezet.

So Adam...
Liz is known for her cookies, Jason his mighty gauntlet, James J. his love of all things -saurus, Diego for his lovely innocence, Stephen's stained soul, Gary the audiophile supreme, Lisa/Vic having the worlds bestest Star Wars collection, etc.
What are you known for? Well, besides sharing a name with a pron star.

That's not really up to me, really. In some ways, a person doesn't get to choose what they're known for.
From what I've seen among public and private perspectives, I've been known as a person who likes bugs (specifically mantises), has championed flumphs (because of the avatar and my chapter in Misfit Monsters Revisited), designed or developed hundreds of monsters, is an advocate for (and best source about) Arcadia, and is generally fun-loving, laid-back, and levelheaded. I'll take all of those. :)

Thank you answering my questions Adam! Your answers were very enlightening to say the least. Now two more questions for you. (I'm going to help you catch up to Jame's thread).
1) How do you pronounce Daigle?
2) Could you write a brief biography of who you are and what you do?
1) It's a Cajun surname and it's pronounced DAY-gull.
2) As my title says, I'm a developer here at Paizo. I was formerly a freelancer since about 2008 while I was living in Austin, Texas. Then the fine folks at Paizo invited me out to work full-time in spring of 2012. Since my time here I've primarily worked on the Adventure Path line. I started off doing all of the backmatter by wrangling articles and monsters and doing pretty much everything besides the adventure. Now, since the start of Strange Aeons, I've been working on the adventures.

Where should I look to find surnames that'd sound like they'd come from Moltune?
I don't know. I don't really have my finger on the pulse of Molthune. Maybe look at other named characters that we've said were from Molthune and select something that sounds similar or has a similar linguistic structure.

Hey Adam! I thought of more questions for you.
I'm not familiar with Cajun. Could you enlighten me?
I read about Flumphs in the Misfit Monsters Redeemed. I think you did a great job in there! Very fun to read, except for one thing.
This is a quote from Misfit Monsters Redeemed.
Particularly brave flumphs hunt badgers,
weasels, and dogs,...
no No No NO NO NO NOOO!!! HOW CAN FLUMPHS EAT DOGS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
*Deep breaths*
Okay calmer now. But seriously kicking puppys is an evil act, so eating dogs is definitely evil! Why would a flumph ever eat an innocent doggy?

Hey Adam! I thought of more questions for you.

Sure! Cajuns are an American ethnic group primarily living in Louisiana and along the Gulf coast. They were originally French settlers in the eastern side of Canada, primarily Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. They were forcibly shoved out by the British in the mid-1700s. Nowadays we're known as a laid-back people with a rich culture best known for our food and music. You can read a bit more here.

Ha! I had forgotten that little tidbit. I can't recall my thinking at the time for including that, but I'm sorry for upsetting you. I think I was going for something that would highlight their alien nature. They obviously don't see all animals the way we do. :)

Does your avatar and Flumph writing history cause any friction with James Jacobs' Flumph-fobia (or Phlump phobia)?
Nah. I'm pretty sure we understand where each other stands. I actually happen to agree with him that they are silly. It makes them hard to fit into places where you want a more serious tone. While I think that I did a good enough job to redeem them and present them in a new way to a newer generation of tabletop gamers, there's a strong and long history of them being presented in other ways that makes it hard for people to see the new presentation.

Hey Adam! Thanks for answering my questions! That was a great wikipedia page you wrote! ;) Now r u redy? 'Cause Im gonna ask u sum questions! Note to self. Remember to grammar.
What did you think of Flumphs before you redeemed (most of) them? The doggy eaters are irredeemable.
Are there any other "silly" monsters that you feel need redemption?

First, I didn't write that wikipedia page, merely linked it. :)
When I first encountered them in the D&D Fiend Folio when I was a kid I thought they looked weird, but I otherwise didn't have a solid opinion on them. My interest in them came through my friend Tim Hitchcock. He wrote an adventure in Dungeon Magazine called "Box of Flumph" that I thought was an interesting and weird story. (This was prior to Tim and I becoming friends.) After we became friends I asked him about that, primarily asking "How the hell did you get them to green light that pitch!?" He told me that he was having a conversation with a friend who dared him to write an adventure centered around flumphs, to which he did—and got it published! So, I blame Tim for my interest in the flumph, plus I'm always a champion for the underdog.
I can't think of any other silly monsters that need redemption at the moment, but there are a few monsters from folklore that I think it would be cool to make cool instead of silly (like the hidebehind, jackalope, squonk, joint snake, etc). Some of them would take a lot of work to "redeem" into a serious role.

Howdy Adam Daigle! Today I come to you with questions that only you can answer*! You're so modest, denying you wrote that entire wikipedia page just for me. :p
*Okay, maybe someone else could answer some of these.
Have you actually ever written a wikipedia page?
Are you a cat person?
What is/are your favorite group(s) of evil outsiders and why?

I do like cats!
My favorite groups of evil outsiders are divs and sahkils. I like 'em because I've designed all of them. :)

Favorite horror movie?
Favorite foreign-language film?
I'm terrible with picking favorites (my tastes fluctuate and I'm bad at making decisions), so I'm going to go with the first two that popped in my head: Absentia for favorite horror movie and City of Lost Children for favorite foreign-language film.

My own lists of favorites usually come with a "subject to change" disclaimer so I quite understand.
Does "Daigle" reference eagles in some fashion? My French is pretty abysmal, and the Cajun variety has some variations from the stuff you learn in school...
Oh! Broad cultural stereotype time! Do you like etouffee? If so, is there any good place to get it in the Pacific Northwest?

Daigle was originally spelled d'Aigle, so yes there was certainly a reference to eagles in that it means "of the eagle."
Of course I like etouffee, and the best place to get it up here is my house. ;) Seriously though, ...no... wait... I'm totally serious. (I even order, or have friends and family send me, ingredients from back home. Pretty much the only rice I use comes from a rice milling company that's about 2 miles from where I grew up. The main thing I miss is Gulf seafood, which is stupid expensive up here when I can find it.) Okay, f'reals, there are a few restaurants here that do a pretty good job with Cajun food. I've been to two and a food truck and while I was suspicious at first, I was pleased with what I got. That said, it was mainly New Orleans-style, southeastern Cajun/Creole type fare, which is fine for the most part, but Cajun country is more south central Louisiana. New Orleans style Cajun food uses a lighter more blonde roux, and while central and western uses a darker, chocolate-colored roux.
I've said before that the only good thing to come from Hurricane Katrina and the diaspora that followed was that it spread Cajun culture and its food across the US more broadly than anything before. You can find more Cajun restaurants that popped up throughout US cities after that horrible event than ever before. We Cajuns know how to cook. (I think it's a racial trait.)
Now I'm hungry, thanks. ;)

How much of Arcadia is nailed down in the heads of the various people working at Paizo? Are there any areas left fuzzy at present, regardless of publication plans?

Cajuns were pulling off excellent "fusion" cuisine before it was haute. Mixing things together is obviously the best way to do things. ;)
As for Arcadia, nearly nothing is nailed down. I have my own vision, and I know at least a few of us here in the office (and among freelancers) have interest in expanding on that continent, but I think that I'm the one that has the most words down on it. Certainly in print after writing Segada. I'm also the one who has "dibs" on that part of the setting, and my fellow developers come to me when they include Arcadia material in things they work on. I also have a document I've been keeping for a while that I add to on occasion, should I actually get the time and stuff to hammer out a book.

Cool!
So there's still plenty of room for Yu'pik (And Haida and Tlingit and Inupiaq and Athabsacan and Aluutiq and Aleut and Tsimshian and Eyak) influences in the northwest of the continent... goooooood, good...
