Crossblooded with Associated Bloodlines

Advice

Liberty's Edge

Is it permitted in PFS to use crossblooded for two bloodlines that are associated to one another?

For example,

At the cost of a -2 to Will saves and one fewer spell per level, can a Sorcerer benefit from the following associated bloodline Arcanas?

Anarcic:
Whenever you fail a concentration check to cast a spell, a cantrip effect is created. Randomly determine one of your cantrips known (for example, if you know 6 cantrips, roll 1d6). There is a 50% chance this cantrip affects a target of your choice within 60 feet; otherwise it affects you.

Protean:
Bloodline Arcana: Your magic of creation and changing is hard to unravel. The DC to dispel transmutation or conjuration (creation) spells that you cast is increased by +4.

You don't mix wild blooded and crossblooded. The world divides by zero.

I think its illegal because there are some wierd implications. You definitely can't mix two of the same bloodline. Anarchic is an archetype of Protean.

Ah! I found a relevant thread here. Thanks.

What about affecting multi-classed characters, like an Protean Sorcerer (that isn't crossblooded) that also has wizard's cantrips via wizard levels, for example?

I'm not sure if this rule impacts anything from the

Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play:
For the sake of simplicity, there is no difference between an arcane and divine scroll or wand in Pathfinder Society Organized Play.
, would a Protean Sorcerer impact any of her multi-classed divine caster spells?

I wish there was a way to rename this thread multi-classed/wildblooded/crossblooded.

you can not do wildblooded & crossblooded. Your problem starts there.

Sorcerer bloodline abilities, unless they say otherwise, affect all of your spells, not just your Sorcerer spells. So if you have even one level as a Protean Sorcerer, the DC to dispel any Cleric or Wizard spells you might have that are conjuration (creation) or transmutation is increased by 4. (This is why Crossblooded Sorcerer is a good dip for other casters but a terrible option for actual sorcerers.)

You either didn't read the three-post-long thread or spent more than five hours typing an eleven-word post. Your problem starts there.

I see it now. The loss of spells per level is minimally impacting with the dip. You just have to bite the bullet with the -2 Will save that crossblooded bestows.

Awesome sauce & Gracias.

The -2 Will doesn't hurt you if you're just dipping because sorcerer comes with a +2 Will anyhow.

In addition to getting around the loss of spells known, dips also benefit from Crossblooded being extremely front-loaded. The main benefit is getting two Arcanas instead of just one, since if you stuck with Crossblooded you'd still only get one bloodline power/feat/spell at the appropriate levels anyhow, just like every other sorcerer. So you get all of the benefits and none of the penalties.

Crossblooded is a wizard archetype cunningly disguised as a sorcerer archetype.

Dark Archive

Crossblooded Orc/Blue Dragon is also popular with Magi.

Liberty's Edge

The premise for the character is that of a lifeguard.
So, I've got to make sure that he's good at two things:
swimming & healing.

If I do take a level of sorcerer, the options that fit so far are:

Accursed (but I've got to check with other hags who play where I play to see if its worth it)
Aquatic
Destined
Imperious
Karmic (but now I know I can't crossblood this one)
Marid

I initially was checking because of aquatic. I actually like the water wizards perks better. Now I'm wondering if I should dip wizard also or instead of on my way to a dual-cursed oracle of healing and water. Decisions, decisions.

The method to my madness is first I think up a theme, then I look for what combos work within that premise.
That's just the way that I role.
