Let me take a quick minute to congratulate Melbourne, Australia, VC Stephen White, on being awarded the third campaign service award.
Stephen was one of the original 13 Venture-Captains and the only VC in all of Australia. With Australia roughly the same size as the continental United States, it was a huge task to coordinate PFS for an entire continent and country. But, he did so with no complaints and we saw unprecedented growth in PFS. This is due directly to Stephen's efforts.
He has gone above and beyond to accommodate to his veteran and new players alike, and his phenomenal efforts have kept these players coming back, and in turn bringing more new players in.
Stephen was one of the first 5 star GMs outside the U.S. and the first in Australia. His example has led to others striving to GM as well as he does.
He has reached out and coordinated with the Australian library system to help coordinate regional and national gaming awareness days.
He has also been instrumental in supporting multiple regional conventions a year, paying significant out of pocket costs for both travel and convention product support for players and GMs. He is also on the committee to watch the new website for PFS Australia become a reality.
Congratulations Stephen. You are now PFS #703!

Thanks everyone for the congratulations, and thanks Mike, Erik and Paizo for the recognition.
We've been lucky enough to have Mike visiting us in Melbourne for the last few days, and we've just wrapped up a GM101 session for our current GMs, as well as a few players interested in becoming GMs.
It was at the GM101 session tonight when Mike announced the campaign service award, and I was taken completely by surprise! There are so many individuals working hard to bring Pathfinder to their local communities, that I'm still at a loss why I've been singled out for this award, though it was a great feeling having all my friends around me when Mike announced the award.
I am so proud of this achievement, not the least of which because it's recognition of all the evenings and weekends I dedicate to organising PFS in my region, time I often wish were available to spend with my partner, a new PFS player himself, who is trying to navigate his way through this amazing but often confusing hobby of ours.
I'd love to say more, but Melbourne's four-day Easter weekend convention, Conquest begins in a few short hours, and I have to decide between con prep and sleep.
Thanks everyone, I'm truly grateful to you all.
Cheers,
Stephen

A bit late to the party in congratulating you Stephen as we were both at Conquest Melbourne and I was dead tired throughout playing and running PFS, but I wanted to offer you my thanks and efforts (again :P) in getting PFS up and running around Melbourne. Goodness knows how you originally got PFS up and running around the whole of Australia - It was already a massive effort to do it just in Melbourne. Great job and keep it up :)

Thanks Ghardi,
Though PFS isn't yet up and running around the whole of Australia, there are still cities (and locations within our own cities) we'd like to have greater PFS participation, and the VCs (all of us) have our eyes on you! If there's anything we can do to help you get started, please contact one of us.
And I certainly couldn't have done it without a great team of GMs such as yourself, Ghardi - stepping down from a session you had booked to play, and volunteering to GM an extra table for players looking for a game, was noted, and very much appreciated.
