[Oh goodie, my master is teaching me a religion]
"Ok, the ways of Chaldira is this: run recklessly into battle and pray that I save you"
[...]
hello again.
you know my wolf. You've seen it in action.
thats exactly how it works.
except the master isnt religious. The wolf is however. The wolf found the halfling religion.

Trust me, god worship doesn't go well for us. I got tied to a rock for all eternity and all i got was this lousy hand!

I'm not exactly strict when it comes to animal companions, but I don't think that the wolf meets the requirements for the trait.
Since Chaldira is NG, and (most?) Animal Companions are N, any critter with an Intelligence of 3+ qualifies for the Additional Traits feat, and thusly any Religion Trait for CN, LN, N, NE, and NG deities.

You need both the appropriate alignment and being the follower of that religion. Given the FAQ from the devs that indicate that even a 20 Intelligence animal with tongues requires Handle Animal to get it to do tricks, combined with the ironclad PFS clarification from Mike and John that animal companions can never count as being a member of a faction for any purposes, I can't see it as being OK to assume you can count the animal as a member of a religion. Eidolons could do it for certain.

I'd think that a Paladin's mount would be able to take a Religion Trait via Additional Traits.
Shh... There's a conspiracy against animals. Trust me on this!
Actually I don't think they can, though I'd love to see a horse praise Saranrae in the streets for some reason. Totally worth it!

No shirts, no dice, no service.

I like to have a BYOD policy. Bring Your Own Dice.

Yeah the more you talk about something on this board, the more often you see it somewhere....
So, next time you don´t want to see something, don´t tell anyone^^
^ Wise words for the original poster.
Oh, but this is exactly what I was going for. Soon the powers to be have to ban the trait, or the Society is going to be ran over by Chaldira worshippers! *muahaha*

I have to admit, that I probably would never have known about this trait except for this thread. I can't imagine making a halfling character and not giving them this trait, but I probably won't be giving it to many non-halflings. (OK I'll probably be giving it to my next aasimar too)
I can't really imagine anyone complaining that it's overpowered in game because, in the end, it's only a defensive ability.
