Well....at some point today whatever was a little stuffiness and ickies, feels like it's putting major pressure on my head and during the day has gone down into my ears. The side of my face hurts so bad and I can't really hear anything except some echo like ringing out of my right ear. My left ear is starting to feel like it's getting stopped up as well.
My insurance doesn't kick in till Monday though and I have to wait and see when Henry is off and can take me.
Everybody has been telling me today that I look like I don't feel good, or just making random observations that, "I'm not feeling good"....like duh, what was your first clue. I stopped by the preschool directors office after school to talk to her and she commented on how red my cheeks were and wondered aloud if I had a fever. I just told her I didn't know and that I wasn't really feeling good. She said if I'm feeling absolutely awful later to let her know and they'll work something out....but, I really hate to do that since I know for a fact how low on people they are gonna be tomorrow and I just can't do that to Sandy, my Lead Teacher.
There is a map of the camp thus far (albeit a crappy one) up. I tried using that Pyromancers tool but could not get it to save for the scene builder.
I'm sure it's okay honey.
I called Ashley, our preschool director and talked to her about how I'm feeling and I was telling her how I was just gonna go ahead and try and make it tomorrow and she made a point of telling me like two or three times that it's okay if I can't be there, that I won't get in trouble and that these things happen and I need to stay home and rest. She said they would figure something out tomorrow if they had to and not to worry about them. I told her I would think about it and before I could hang up she was like, "I mean it, it's okay if you can't make it. YOu're not gonna get in trouble, so if you're not feeling good still in the morning then you call me or text me and let me know." Since I left the hospital I have ended up with some of the BEST bosses ever.
I talked to Henry and after how bad I've been feeling, I probably will text her in the morning. He doesn't think I should go because he's afraid I'll make myself worse....which being the stubborn ass I've been is probably true.
Even though she tells me it's alright, I still feel bad about not going to work......I know I can't work myself into the ground or get so sick that even antibiotics won't help...but, I just feel bad about leaving them so short handed when there are so many kids and I know how our babies can get.
I gots to needs things. I is too ickies.
The fact is take pleasure in the fact that you finally work somewhere where they not only value you, but put your wellbeing first. It's a total 180 from working at the hospital ad I'm happy to hear it. Rest and get better.
I'm trying to, it's just hard for me to accept because I'm not wired for that. It's hard for me to call in because I always feel guilty afterwards about leaving them shorthanded. Especially when I know how difficult those kids can be. I did it though. I texted Ashley and was honest about how I was feeling which is not only pretty miserable, but really difficult for me. It's hard for me to admit when I'm too sick to continue on my regular routine.

Tryin to rest, but it's a bit hard when it feels like you can't breath, throat feels sore and swollen, and you have pain shooting up your foot cuz you accidentally smashed them into a wall while trying to walk out of the bathroom......but I'm tryin.

I'm sorry you're hurting. Just rest as much as you can. Even if you can't sleep just sit back, watch idiot TV, play on the computer something that helps you just take it easy and relax ok?
I said I trying......I'm not BSing, I'm trying.....I'm already worrying about if they're gonna get some to help Sandy with the kids, Ashley said not to though and I'm trying, but I don't seem capable of not worrying. *Sigh* I can't win........

Oh yay....I now have a temp of 100.0 but the fevers don't usually last long and go away with some Tylenol, so that's okay right? 100 isn't that bad. I'm sure it'll be gone by this evening.......I hate my body.

Left a Voice Mail with support 4 hours ago. Not that I'm excited to ta struggle through a conversation with some under trained foreign guy/gal, but my manager is gonna b+$#! at me tomorrow no doubt if they don't call me back.

Well, my temp is down to 98.9, but I have pink eye now so apparently whatever the fever was trying to fight off didn't work cuz I still got pink eye.

So then yeah you definitely can't be around a bunch of kids, although there's pretty good odds you caught it as school and were trying to fight it off. If it's driving you crazy and you can't wait until Monday to get drops prescribed, I have a cure, that I've actually used myself and it works but you won't like it.
Squeeze a half a lemon into each eye. I won't lie, it will feel like setting your eyes on fire, but it will work. You know how marinating things in citrus has the same effect chemically as cooking it? Ceviche. It does the same thing. Kills all the bacteria. But it hurts like hell for about ten minutes, but will cure it in pretty much a day.
Oh hell no....Lol I got some regular eye drops to help ease my suffering till Monday.

I apologize for the shoddy posting as of late...just been tired and not feeling too great. I'm gonna call it a night since I have to be back at work in the morning.

Yeah......so another day at home being sick. This time it's the both of us. We just need something to go right for us. Just once.....even if it's something small. We need something good to happen so we don't feel like we're being constantly crapped on.

You do whatever you need to do to get better.
I'm just stressed out too cuz I know I'm missing a lot on my paycheck and we really need the money. I know I need to relax and get better, but it's hard to relax when you have bills that need to be paid and you feel wrong for being sick and not making the money you need....it's a vicious cycle really.
So look at it differntly. Rest and get better so you can get back to earning money. Rest and get better so there's no chance you infect the kids when you go back.
