Don't stress yourself over it too much Skaar. You're ill and should be taking it easy. Your body needs rest to get well. Lots of liquids and maybe some chicken noodle soup or something. Just take care of yourself, fever can sometimes denote infection and you don't need to get worse.

Just don't derail :P

So....it's a WORK story, but I'll leave out the gross parts.

So, I was at work last night...minding my own business and doing my thing for the patients when I have to go in this room around 1am or so to help the nurse with a difficult patient. Well...he's not the difficult one really, but the mom in the room. The patient has CP and are cared for at home with a home vent, feeding tube, ect.

Anyways, the mom had been buggin out for a while about him getting a certain medicine and fussin and everything all night at the nurse over stuff that she felt was important. So, while we were in there the nurse was getting ready to give him the medicine which she had melted down so it could go into his feeding tube, and the mom pitches a fit and wants to know why he isn't getting it in the IV and the nurse tried to explain that since they were supposed to be going home today, that the Dr discontinued the IV meds because he won't be able to get them when they get home and the family will have to learn how to give him meds through the feeding tube. So far things seem okay, but the mom starts fussin over every little thing the nurse is doing and as I'm standing next to her doing my vitals and the stuff I have to do...the f+!@ing HEIFER decides for some reason to STOMP on MY foot. Well, understandably I go "Ouch!" and she just glares at me.

We finally get outta the room and I grab her by the arm and ask, "So, why exactly did you feel it necessary to stomp on my foot like that? Do you remember how much trouble I have with my feet? (which of course she knew cuz the f!*!in b@$%+ actually knew me)" And all that whores wife could tell me was, "Oh, I was just getting really annoyed at that family member and was trying to tell you without letting them know how annoyed with them I was."

I was so pissed I almost walked off the floor then and there, but I'm better than that and it was HER fault, not my patients and my leaving would have only hurt them....so I didn't. But Gods I want to quit now and I would if I didn't have to worry about getting Henry and I new glasses and need the next 9 checks to pay shit off. I just hope I can walk tonight.

Alright, I've calmed down enough to get some sleep I think. I'm gonna try, along with Henry to be up at a decent time today. Depends on how well I sleep with a throbbing foot. :o/

So, sleep with a throbbing foot was a no go. Having trouble flexing that part of my foot actually, so every time it twitched in the bed it sent shooting pain all the way up into my ankle. I tried soaking it in epsom salts....but, didn't do much good. I'm all outta ideas.

Hehe....no thanks. I should be used to it anyways....I hurt everyday, it's just a matter of location and intensity. This is just a wee bit more intense than usual.

Ahhh....I really needed that laugh. But I told staffing what happened and they are sending me to be with a sitter patient tonight....so, maybe it won't be too bad. The guy just talks....alot, but I can deal with that. LOL

LOL, that's what William said. He asked if I had any, and I told him no. So he said maybe they should get me some, or at least some hazard pay. I feel kinda crappy cuz I didn't get to sleep till about 6pm, and I only slept for a couple hours...but I'll probably pass out tomorrow.

They left me with rooms to clean and their own unfinished paperwork. I've done as many rooms as I'm going to do, the last two are to trashed to be soloed.

Now it's just paperwork sorting and then I can start on MY actual work.
