So after staying up till 3 am last night with bub, today was punctuated by man flu... and midnight fireworks for Malaysia's independence day waking everyone back up again... so I won't be able to squeeze in a post tonight.
He just has a cold, so is all good. Just makes it hard to get him to sleep at night and he doesn't stay down for long.
Yeah thats pretty sucky :(

I've had 2 out of 3 hits recently. I'm on fire!
Well, only when compared to the shaft of die rolling ice I'd fallen into before.
In another game, my first three attacks with a brand new character have been 1, 2, 3. If I survive the next 12 rounds or so, I am going to be high enough along the d20 distribution to be a dynamo.

So, PFS peeps - both groups are getting fairly close to the end of the section of the AP chapter that is approved for PFS play.
I've created an event # 32502 with two sessions (one for each group) so I think the next step is for people to feed me their details so I can fill out the chronicle sheets and session sheets?

Thanks all. Mom and baby are healthy, we're all taking a much needed sleep break tonight. I'm too tired to post but I'm up to date on all threads, and not to worry, this shouldn't affect my ability to post as I'm normally in front of a computer for 12+ hours a day.
Huzzah! - glad to hear all went well. Enjoy the furtive steps into parenting, and sneak that sleep when and wherever you're able ;)

Caught up in a busy long-weekend, expect post in roughly 24 hours ish.
Currently floating through my head:
- Peat mining for whisky production - and bog preserved evil unleashed when it's dug up
- Nithing poles, and the necromantic animation of the headless skinless corpse left behind
- Holmgang and flyting

As scenario concepts?
Pretty much in one way or another.
I've got an amorphous idea of a norse / scots trading village that sits on the cusp between the south and the north. Kalsgard-esque but with more of a scots feel.
Silver mines in the hills, fields of oats and barley, hard men and harder women.... that sort of stuff :P
I've had similar thoughts...
An Orcish adventure - where the party are all Orcs (it would be a three parter)
A PFS based Pirate campaign - cherry picking out all the nautical scenarios.
A Thieves Guild mini-campaign (probably akin to the new Module styles)
The killer is getting the dedicated time to write them up.
Yep - I'm trying to use the rough outlines of how the Razor Coast campaign was set-up to provide some structure to jot down ideas.
As in: Vignettes / Short Encounters / Whispers and Rumors / Inciting Incidents / Adventure Options
But yeah, time's a mite hard to come by ;)
I think any future stuff I wrote will have the PFS Scenario concept at its heart, they seem to be a good size and can be stapled together. Whack on a meta-plot and its golden.
I'm determined to write something for Wayfinder or the like soon as well.
I have midterms all next week. All of my tests in medical school are do or die. I will post as much as I can during breaks over the weekend and next week. If I have not posted something and you would like to move the game on, please take any reasonable action for my character.
I apologize for this, but I have to get past these tests or $200,000 and five years goes down the drain. I will be back to regular posting next Saturday.

Hey folks,
Just to let you know, I will be heading out on vacation tomorrow afternoon (26th) through October 12th. I'll be globe-trotting and won't be dragging my computer along. While I may be able to check in periodically, I probably won't have a chance to post so please bot my character as needed. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

May as well be. As a point of trivia, where I am going was at one point (semi recently) used for housing refugees and asylum seekers, and no kidding, the UN and Human Rights groups said it violated their human rights because conditions were so poor.

Thanks for bearing with me through another round of midterm Hell. Grades are back for 3/4 tests and I passed all of them. I even made a B on the Clinical Medicine midterm so I'm kind of tickled.

Quick game mechanics question for all and sundry regarding my vikingr's shield abilities;
Skäne has the following trait:
Skjǫldr Bera (Shield Bearer) (Ulfen Racial Trait):
He also has the following Combat Feat
Saving Shield (2nd Level Fighter Combat Feat):
My question is... Does/can Saving Shield stack with Skjǫldr Bera once per day (thus providing that ally with a +4 shield bonus to AC) or does the feat trump the trait in such a case?
My gut instinct is that it probably does, but interested to see what everyone else thinks (with particular emphasis on our kald-hearted Jarl :)
Well, from a RAW perspective, one is a trait bonus, and the other is a shield bonus, so they should stack.
Final call is up to VoV, though ;-)
They stack - though technically the person gets a +2 shield bonus and a +2 trait bonus to AC.
A better question is whether Saving Shield can bump the AC of a character that already has a shield bonus from another source (such as a shield of their own) - to which the answer would be no, as the bonuses are the same type.
