Caster and a Gauntlet of Rust? Would it work?

Rules Questions

The Exchange

I was wondering how it would look with say a sorcerer who used a gauntlet of rust. Is it possible for him to still be able to cast and act well with a single gauntlet on and be able to touch attack any dudes getting close to him? Would he be able to Shocking, Rusting Grasp someone's armor? could any touch attack to a dude's armor be able to combine the rusting with it?
If viable is there any ideas for a build for this?

I know it would only be once a day with the glove but one could get a glove with more times per day if this is workable.

Think of the gauntlet as giving you 1/day use of the rusting grasp spell, which is a standard action. In order to understand how touch spells work, check out the combat FAQ here: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/combat.html and search for 'touch spells in combat'.

In answer to your questions: yes, you could continue to cast and act fine whilst wearing the item. You would NOT be able to shocking, rusting grasp someone's armour: the rusting grasp ability takes your standard action, and even if you quickened the shocking grasp, as soon as you cast the second spell the first (held) spell is lost, meaning you can never combine two touch spells in this manner. If I'm interpreting the rules correctly though you could potentially quicken a shocking grasp, touch an opponent and then use the gauntlet normally, making a second touch attack in the same round. But not combine into a single action.
