Non-magical cold iron weapons only cost twice as much, correct?

Rules Questions

So if a normal sword costs 1 gold gets you 20 arrows, then 2 gold gets you 20 cold iron arrows, right? And an 8 gold sword would a 16 gold cold iron sword?

Enchanting such a sword costs an additional 2000gp more than normal though, if I remember correctly.

Correct.

You could always check the pfsrd.

Thanks, I was going through the CRB at the time and thought the number seemed a little low for such a special material.

I originally thought it seemed low too, compared to say Mithral, but Mithral automatically makes it Masterwork, which Cold Iron doesn't. so if you just want a non-magical, non MW cold iron weapon, it's cheap. If you want it to be MW, add 300, and 2k more if you want to magic it up.

So now to have a +1 Cold Iron Longsword the costs are:

Longsword 15gp
CI 15gp
MW 300gp
+1 2000gp
CI to be magic 2000 gp

Total: 4330gp

Whereas the +1 Mithral Longsword is

Longsword 15gp
Mithral 1000gp (2lbs, although some will argue 4lb and thus 2k gp)
+1 2000gp

Total: 3015gp (or 4015 gp if you use the 4lbs for a longsword)

Either way, the CI doesn't seem "too cheap"
