Let me preface by laying out the situation. I'm a 5th level magus using the whole shocking grasp concept with a sword. We are playing Jade Regent and just entered the room with the

Well, Cubano (are you an amazing sandwich?) shocking grasp et al. would affect swarms exactly like a single target spell would.
Throw an alchemist fire or acid on it. Or cast burning hands. Swarms vs. single target=win for swarm.
Pretty much. If you're desperate lamp oil can work in a pinch.

Alright, first off, I'll agree with you about the sandwich (at least that's amazing.
I guess I'll have to take your advice and use a burning hands or two like I did with the other swarms. Besides that, would arcane pool to use Flaming/shock on my weapon still damage the thing(s)? I guess along those lines, I would ask if something like flaming burst would still effect it. Though they're immune to critical hits, can the effect still be triggered?
@MTC - If only I didn't have darkvision, then I might have brought some lamp oil :S

I know right? Swarms suck...a lot.
The flaming weapon property may work. I mean sure its still attached to hitting with the weapon so perhaps not totally RAW, but you can do damage with a torch, so I see no reason at all this shouldn't work do do 1d6 damage per hit (actual weapon damage still wont matter). Now, if you had a black blade and could do energy substitution you could use the BB points to basically do normal damage that round (potentially still with +1d6 fire damage if you use your AP for flaming), but i get the impression thats not an option.
