Question on the resources. I like the idea of the encounters being prepped for Combat Manager. Problem is, the files appear to be in a different format. Am I using the wrong program or is there something I'm missing here?
Which files are you looking at?
There's Combat Assistant (CA) files on there as well, that's different to Combat Manager.

This is a great resource. some nice tools. But I had a question:
Scenario 4.09 Blackros Matrimony. The Blakros Matrimony Doc is view only, it will not allow downloading or printing, so is not very usefull for off line use. But, I have to admit, it is the gem of the entire set of files, with all the knowledge checks and stat blocks that will use this weekend to run the scenario.
Is this a permission mistake?
Thanks
Robyn

I was able to download a copy and the permissions say it's shared. Email us at the pfs shared email and one of us will send you a copy
Thea
It is only shared to contributors and editors for downloads. All else it is view only.

I'll work on it and see if I can change anything with it. Thanks for the information

Here's something I would love to see: quick and dirty PFS class mechanics guides. Not optimization guides, but a breakdown of "how things work" for some of the more complicated classes:
Ammunition costs/reloading rules for Gunslingers
Bomb rules (range/damage/splash damage/etc.) for Alchemists
Eidolon builds for Summoners
Arcane bond upgrades for Wizards
Handle Animal rules for companions/mounts
etc.
This would be especially helpful for newer GMs who don't have as much experience with the different classes, or the PFS-specific rules surrounding them.

Lol ... feel free to write them :)

I'm working on it; unfortunately those are all the classes that hurt my tiny brain.
EDIT:
Of course it just occurred to me that the fastest way to get them made is to put misinformation up and wait for the corrections to pour in.

heh ... prefer to not spread mis-information if at all possible
Thanks for working on the guides

I have uploaded a document entitled "Player Info Cards.pdf" to the Helpful Resources folder.
It will print out four 3"x5" (same as standard index cards) per sheet of letter-sized paper, and I hand it out to players before a scenario.
It gathers the following data:
Player Name
PC Name
PFS #
Faction
Race
Class levels (room for up to four different classes)
Pets (room for 2)
Specials (darkvision, go in surprise round, etc.)
Initiative Modifier
Perception Modifier
Diplomacy Modifier
Sense Motive Modifier
Disable Device Modifier
Does PC have Trap Spotting ability?
Stealth Modifier
KS Arcana Modifier
KS Dungeoneering Modifier
KS Engineering Modifier
KS Geography Modifier
KS History Modifier
KS Local Modifier
KS Nature Modifier
KS Nobility Modifier
KS Planes Modifier
KS Religion Modifier
I find it super useful for when you need to roll something for a PC, or for when you use index cards to track initiative.
I hope it helps some folks.

And here I am just starting at a new school for my bachelors. As if having to catch up on GM stars wasn't enough!
Best advice I ever got on this particular topic is: it's not a race.
Must've stuck with me; I just finished my B.A. in May 2012, some twenty-plus years after starting. You'll get there, TOZ. :-)
Also, congrats, Purple Fluffy CatBunnyGnome & Lab_Rat!

I'm not sure I'd agree with that assessment (although the advice is good). I got my Bachelor's over 40 years ago, and there have been some pretty good moments over the years since then ...

I just meant school, not life. I agree with you.

First draft of the Gunslinger guide should be available. Here's the link:
