Thanks. I missed that browsing the thread.

Since I've gotten several emails about this recently...

As a reminder the site asks you to choose several things including:

Display Name - This is how the site addresses you, and credits your posts etc.

User Name - This goes in the User Name field when you login.

Password - This goes in the Password field when you login.

Note, once your registration goes through, the site sends you an email addressed to your Display Name. Your Display Name will not help you login.

I will be out of contact from Jan 13-28th and unable to authenticate new members during that time.

Is anyone experiencing issues with the shared prep site? I keep getting timeouts so I cant upload anything.

The Exchange 5/5

Not on my end.

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

Not here either.

Every once in awhile my SQL host undergoes maintenance for about 30 minutes during which things timeout and act funky. After which they return to normal.

I can upload my things now.

I figured some cats were clogging the intertubes.

Just "discovered" GMshared prep again, and downloaded an printed the entire Emerald Spire prep. for my planned endurance run at a Convention in two weeks.

Hrmm .. it's working for me ...

If you are trying to go to the original google drives, those have been shut down in favor of the website

I created a new account for a different reason. I had forgotten my username and was unable to login. ever sense I get this instead of the website even if I navigate directly to the login screen

(In chrome and FF blank page, in IE the error above)

AkA: exceed the number of tries to login and the site bans your IP permanently (had this issue in excess of a month now). I can access the site just fine from my phone.

The Exchange 5/5

I'd email the web admin and see if they are able to get your IP unbanned and delete the in correct account.

Just send me an email vcRob@pfsprep.com with your IP and I'll unban it.

Oh, I had no idea that you had to register to -use- the site. The instructions said that in order to post you had to register.

I am so sad that the google doc site went down. I used that quite a bit, and I have never successfully used the new one.

Grand Lodge 4/5

You certainly don't have to register to use the site.

4/5 ****

You can absolutely read and download material without registering.

Well, it just worked fine for me now; I downloaded the monsters and notes for The Elven Entanglement, 5-05. I don't know why it wasn't working before, but I haven't tried in about 3 months.

I just found out that using the site from work is hell, but everything works fine from home. (cant up or download from work, but can access the site).

So it might be that you have a similar issue.

The sad fact with the google doc site is that too many people felt the need to randomly delete things from it as google drive didn't have good user control options.

the website is a much safer way to make sure that the community is able to access the information for years to come.

I just signed up. The resources are great, and I thank all who work on them. This makes being a new GM (First two sessions will be in May) a little less stressful. Thank you all!

Silver Crusade 1/5

What is the preferred method regarding errors?
I cannot contact the user directly (no PMs or Email) and I think the report feature is meant for other stuff.
I replied in the thread but haven't received an answer yet.
The error is one that is minor - an attack bonus was not given in the scenario (an error) and the statblock calculated it too high (BAB + Weapon Focus + STR 19 does not equal 8). Bit let's assume it's something more severe (the creator thinks a barbarian is not raging and his statblock adds raging bonuses on top of the printed bonuses for example), what's the way to go there?

4/5 ****

Your best best is to probably respond in thread and/or upload your own corrected file.

You can also click on the user's name and if they have chosen not to hide their email address you can see it there.

Silver Crusade 1/5

Tried that, but whenever I click onto a registered name I only see this:
"You do not have access to view this page."
No matter which profile I click on, my own excluded. So I guess most people tend to leave the setting as-is.
Do you think it's reasonable to contact the admins in the more extreme cases (for example a NPCs has twice the hp it should have) if the poster does not react?

Well Blackbot, let me introduce myself.

Hi, I'm "the admins" for pfsprep.com

While I have removed a couple files with particularly egregious errors in the past once somebody created a replacement, my curation mostly involves removing spambots, approving real users and removing the occasional piece of artwork that breaks the OGL/CUP.

Grand Lodge

Robert and Thea, just got a chance to check out the site. As a returning DM after a 15 year break, your site is incredibly helpful. This is a great contribution to the hobby.

4/5 ****

Yarr, site has been a bit slow the last couple days.

Found out one of my other sites on the same host has been inundated with spammers triggering an automatic throtling. I've dealt with the problem but it may take another 24-48 hours for things to return to normal.

Until then, thank you for your patience, and things should continue to work, they'll just be incredibly slow.

Server has rebooted and is back to normal sooner than expected.

Does anyone have a clean printable map for The Icebound Outpost?

How soon do you need it? I have one, but it's on my desktop's HD...and my desktop is currently in a storage unit for another 1-2 weeks.

Silver Crusade 4/5

I hated drawing that map. That's the main reason that one's not on my "go to" list of easy scenarios to GM on short notice if we need another table.

Shadow Lodge 4/5

I just didn't draw it. Only drew the areas where fights happened.

That was my first gm session though. Nowadays I'd pre-draw the most likely encounter locales on laminated grid paper cutouts to save time.

Silver Crusade 4/5

I pre-drew the entire thing when I ran it. Then I volunteered to run it again a couple of months later and left the flip mat drawn so I could re-use it.

4/5 ****

I keep finding yet another module without a sub forum.

Does somebody mind taking a look and seeing if I'm still missing any modules.

Thanks.

It does not show the trap, from what I can tell. Don't think it even shows a hint of it. Definitely no "T" on it.

Thank you very much. Sorry for the delayed response but I have been laid up in bed and sadly did not get to run it this weekend. At least I will be fully prepped next time I get a chance.

Now I am looking for clean maps for Void in the Void. Anyone got some?

Voice in the void you mean?

I have some very nice clean maps.

Spoiler:
All the statues and beasts stripped from the rooms, I use minis instead, it ups the paranoia factor, the concealed stair stripped out and printed seperately, the rooms cut so that the concealed door is not obvious, and the floor of the library covered with "fungus" (with different colors for the areas that are different depths.)

What do you make the maps out of? Look like plastic sheets.

Card stock, which is then laminated. (I picked up a mini home laminator a while back, and a 500 pack of laminate sheets for it.)

I only use the laminator for maps I really like and plan to use more than once. The rest I just print on card stock.

The prop at the back is a vibration / noise sensitive plasma disk. It flared every time anyone rolled dice. It also flared when I put it on the map and some one said "what is that!!!" Which got some great startled reactions.
