Trying to decide what AP would be best for my group.
They are very RP heavy. Focusing on good RP is just as important, if not more so than combat.
I have looked through Kingmaker and I don't want to run it. I have the Rise of the Runelords AE and it's okay but not really what I'm looking for for this group. I have CotCT and I really like it and so far it's on the top of my list, but I thought I'd ask for other opinions first.
Thanks!

CoCT definitely a solid choice for rp, story but still plenty of action, combat. I ran it and it lended itself well to tailoring to the players. If you have a good rp group and each player has a solid reason as to why Korvosa is important to them its a great campaign, possibly the best of the APs.
Other APs I'd consider would be Carrion Crown, Jade Regent both could work for an rp-geared group.

I ran CC up until 1/2 way through ToTB. Alas I moved away. Harrowstone whilst mostly a dungeon crawl is well done, atmospheric with story and investigation. Trial is great investigation sandbox and an rp geared group should have a blast. I quite liked CC the only weakness in the campaign is the main villain but there's lots of advice in how to shore that flaw up on the boards and it was very easy to heighten his role.
As for the remaining books while not having run them I think they would've been enjoyable. The only other item I would add is that the Lovecraftian adventure is more of a Stuart Gordon, pulpy take on the mythos than a more purist approach which frankly for D&D works better anyways.

If you want to know who the man in your avatar picture is, you should go with Curse of the Crimson Throne. This AP is definitely my favorite and I'll start DM'ing it for my group in just a few weeks.
It does lend itself for lots of roleplaying, certainly if you're willing to put in an extra effort to create more roleplaying opportunities. It also gets more positive feedback on these boards than council of Thieves, although that AP also has its highlights (I'll even be stealing some of it to insert into my CotCT AP).
The two most heard points of critique on Curse of the Crimson Throne are the railroad quests in the fourth installment 'A history of Ashes' and the large dungeon crawl in the fifth installment 'Skeletons of Scarwall'. Both are excellent adventures, but they might not suit the playing style of your group. Again, if you're willing to put up the time and effort, you can change them if they are not to your liking.

Up to now (nearing the end of trial of the beast) I don't think carrion crown is good for RP heavy players.
Why do you not want to play Kingmaker? Your party looks well suited for that AP.
