Quick Belt?

Rules Questions

On belts that give bonus ability, what does it mean 'treat this as a temp ability bonus for the first 24 hours? The player does keep bonus after?

Temporary abilities bonuses affect a limited range of things, permanent ones affect everything (including spells known, etc)

So it becomes permanent after 24 hours

As long as you keep the item. "Permanent" should be read as "after 24 hours, you can count the item bonus as to figuring out if you get bonus spells, meet feat pre-reqs, etc."

thanks

Just to give an example, say that you have 11 strength. you find a belt of strength plus two, and now your modified strength is 13. 5 in game minutes later, your DM tells you level up. Can you take power attack? No.

24 hours later, your DM again tells you to level up. Can you take power attack now? Yes. Because the bonus is considered permanent.

A week later, you take the belt off to shower. Can you power attack the orc who attacks you in the shower? Nope, you no longer meet the requirement for power attack, because you have 11 strength.

The bonus is permanentt, but only till you remove the item
