I was using Hero Lab with Pathfinder Society restrictions and I noticed that the whimsy subdomain (Blood of Angels) wasn't selectable by any clerics using those restrictions as far as I could tell, nor could I find any who explicitly have it listed as a subdomain. Am I missing any? Are there any deities who have whimsy as a subdomain?

Alternately, if you want to mix the Whimsy domain with a Golarion deity in a Pathfinder Society game, you could make a separatist cleric.
How about a cleric of Gorum, god of War and Whimsy?
...of Jubilex, demon lord of Destruction and Whimsy?
...of Lamashtu, goddess of Madness and Whimsy? (The Mother of Monsters...try to tell me Gaga isn’t an aspect of Lamashtu.)
...of Cthulhu, great old one of Whimsy and the Void?

What about the rule: "Subdomains are treated as equivalent to their associated domain for any effect or prerequisite based on domains"
This would seem to indicate that any diety with the Chaos domain within their portfolio would also have access to the Whimsy domain.
What about a cleric of Cayden Cailean who has access to the Chaos domain. Would they be able to take the Seperatist archetype to get access to Whimsy?

I wrote in the other thread, but I think I can expound a bit here. You only treat them the same for effects and prereqs. There is no connection between having the base domain and automatically being granted the subdomain. All that statement is meant to describe is a situation where a feat or prestige class or other has a requirement of X domain. In that situation you could satisfy the requirement of having the Chaos Domain with having the Whimsy Subdomain, but that is all.
A deities portfolio and specific interests define their domains and subdomains. Just because a god is Chaotic does not mean he has any connection to Azata or Demons. He may but this is not determined purely by having the Chaos Domain. So on and so forth.

Your following me RtrnofdMax. Thanks for expanding your logic! I understand the reasons for a deity to have a domain but not all of the subdomains within said domain.
My confusion is with the reverse. Does the above rule prevent a cleric from taking Whimsy if they worship a deity with the Chaos domain? And, would the separatist archetype bypass this limitation?

A subdomain is really just a domain when it comes down to it. There is a parent-child relationship between the two, but they are separate and exclusive domains. What I mean to say is that a character who has the Chaos domain and the Whimsy domain cannot choose both for their two domains.
The bottom line is that if the Whimsy subdomain is not offered by your Deity, you can select it as a separatist as if it were a domain they did not have. Having the Chaos domain doesn't enter into it unless in the above case where you wanted both.

This is my answer. Thanks!

It should be noted, that the Whimsy Domain is useless for an Inquisitor (although he could still benefit from Chaos Blade).
Even for a Cleric, it's a horrible Subdomain, except maybe at first level (Color Spray and a 1/3 chance to double you channel effect). Otherwise, the average change to channel is (2d6-1d6)/6 ~ 0.6.

The text leading up to the subdomain listing on page 27 of Blood of Angels states "The following subdomains grant powers to divine spellcasters whose abilities come from patrons of the good Outer Planes." (emphasis added). Although specific deities aren't listed (and "good" is weirdly not capitalized), that seems to imply that deities who hail from a Good-aligned Outer Plane and grant the parent domain of the associated subdomain [Good- Friendship; Law- Loyalty; Chaos- Whimsy] should be able to provide the subdomain to worshipers.
The only hiccup with this interpretation is that this would allow Calistria and Gorum (both CN) to give access to the Whimsy subdomain because they reside in Elysium, which is a CG-aligned Plane. There's an argument for that being fitting for Calistria, but Gorum? Whimsical? That's just laughable.
