I would just KILL. Seriously, Blaeringr could hire me to hit anyone for a shamisen if I didn't have one. Cept you Jak. You bought me a Atlas.

Now this idea I like! Hopefully this will win a few of those 'on the fence' people over.
I have a question though Ryan. You say in the update the items will have minimal (if any) game effect. Should I take this to mean it will be the equivalent of starter gear, literally have no effect, or will it be a cosmetic option to apply to your existing gear?

Expect standard gear but with exclusive bling, as well as some items that are purely cosmetic.

Thansk Vic. I was expecting standard gear, but cosmetic options are nice too :)

Daniel.
Well the Kickstarter main page says,
Getting them via the Daily Deal is the only way to acquire them unless you make a deal in-game with another player who has them.
That suggests they cannot be looted.

See, I read that and consider it a over sight and assume they can be looted. Like I said, safe than sorry. Plus it says nothing of them being on your corpse and while unlootable being immune to item destruction from having someone loot your husk.
So yes, I would like to make double certain if you need to thread these for the purpose of avoid their theft and/or destruction.

I assume then it gives the dates of all your upgraded pledges too, rather than just the first date?
The actual Kickstarter report tells us only your first pledge date, but we do get email notifications of adjustments as they come in, so we can reconstruct the chain of events if we need to. It's a lot more complicated to deal with things that need to know about that, but we'll do it where we have to.

Is this being rolled out with some outreach to the gaming community? Like contacting MMO news sites?
Well this was posted today over on the Kickstarter,
We'll have a pretty big advertising announcement in a few days that we think will be a blockbuster.
They also mentioned the other day that Kickstarters struggle to make the news these days due to overload.

Expect standard gear but with exclusive bling...
The Goblin Squad Dogslicer is a great example of that. It's a dogslicer, but notice the little goblin head embossed near the hilt? That—and the unique item name—are the exclusive bling in this case. (I don't recall for certain, and all of Goblinworks is in a meeting right now, so I can't check, but the weapon itself may have color differences as well.) Some items will have much more obvious bling.

Found a question on the KS comments I thought was relevant:
The only forseeable issue with the daily deals items is are they one (of each) per account, or I get them on every character I make? What stops me from making a boatload of characters, getting these items on each one and then selling/giving them away?
Also, are they something that can be taken via pvp? I'd hate to have gotten it, and then summarily crushed by whmoever and promptly lose the item(s) by wait of looting
Otherwise a great idea for extra backing.
Any input?

Any word on Guild packs or Tech-demo alpha people? I Am a tech-demo alpha member as well as a current Crowdforger Alpha level and my alternate account has my Crowdforger Guild pack on it.
So here are my questions:
Is the Crowdforger Alpha the same as the Tech-demo Alpha?
Does each of the accounts for Crowdforger Guild level get a set of Daily Deals based on the pledge date?
Also do the Buddy levels receive a set each of the Daily Deals based on pledge date?

The answer to the first part is one per account. (Corollary: buddy and guild-type backers will be getting one daily deal item for each buddy/guild member—they can't just keep the duplicates for their own account.)
