Interesting. My bard is already planning on wielding the Captain's Blade.
Awesome More Stuff!
I assume the daily deals are given out accordingly if you pledge level has multiple packs?
It just got real, people. Super excited for these.

This is what I am wondering about as well, will I get 6 of them (for my guild pack)?
Already looking fantastic and with just the first two! Keep up the good work, very satisfied with my pledge and it just keeps getting better.
If a shamisen is in there some where I will give another $100. I swear it.
JakBlitz wrote: I assume the daily deals are given out accordingly if you pledge level has multiple packs? A very important question. Hopefully, we can get a quick answer.

-- Alantia Nightfall, Bard I would just KILL. Seriously, Blaeringr could hire me to hit anyone for a shamisen if I didn't have one. Cept you Jak. You bought me a Atlas.
Now this idea I like! Hopefully this will win a few of those 'on the fence' people over.
I have a question though Ryan. You say in the update the items will have minimal (if any) game effect. Should I take this to mean it will be the equivalent of starter gear, literally have no effect, or will it be a cosmetic option to apply to your existing gear?
If you upgrade (say from $100 to $175) later, do you lose your spot in the Daily Deal?
What a nice idea, GW really has what it takes to make this a success. :-)
Daniel.
Adtz wrote: If you upgrade (say from $100 to $175) later, do you lose your spot in the Daily Deal? Lordy no. That would be counterproductive!
Adtz wrote: If you upgrade (say from $100 to $175) later, do you lose your spot in the Daily Deal? No, the look at the date of when you pledged, so if that is before sunday you are good to go
JakBlitz wrote: I assume the daily deals are given out accordingly if you pledge level has multiple packs? But of course!
I assume then it gives the dates of all your upgraded pledges too, rather than just the first date?

Expect standard gear but with exclusive bling, as well as some items that are purely cosmetic.

Will the Exclusive items need threading or risk being stolen?
Daniel.

I'm sure they would or else players could where a bunch of these to save threads. Good question though. Safe than sorry.

Daniel. I'm sure they would or else players could where a bunch of these to save threads. Good question though. Safe than sorry. Well the Kickstarter main page says,
Kickstarter wrote: Getting them via the Daily Deal is the only way to acquire them unless you make a deal in-game with another player who has them. That suggests they cannot be looted.

Daniel. See, I read that and consider it a over sight and assume they can be looted. Like I said, safe than sorry. Plus it says nothing of them being on your corpse and while unlootable being immune to item destruction from having someone loot your husk.
So yes, I would like to make double certain if you need to thread these for the purpose of avoid their theft and/or destruction.
Huzzah!
My preciousesssss...
echilda wrote: I assume then it gives the dates of all your upgraded pledges too, rather than just the first date? The actual Kickstarter report tells us only your first pledge date, but we do get email notifications of adjustments as they come in, so we can reconstruct the chain of events if we need to. It's a lot more complicated to deal with things that need to know about that, but we'll do it where we have to.
Strictly speaking I guess stabbing someone in the back and nicking their stuff is making a deal of sorts, albeit a painful forced one! ;-)
Daniel.
I am very interested to see how many new pledges there are now before Sunday.
Is this being rolled out with some outreach to the gaming community? Like contacting MMO news sites?
WTS: Goblin squad Slicers, PST!
*runs of cackeling like mad*
Valkenr wrote: Is this being rolled out with some outreach to the gaming community? Like contacting MMO news sites? We send press releases about all our major announcements. Whether they pick them up or not is not something we control....
Valkenr wrote: Is this being rolled out with some outreach to the gaming community? Like contacting MMO news sites? Well this was posted today over on the Kickstarter,
Kickstarter wrote: We'll have a pretty big advertising announcement in a few days that we think will be a blockbuster. They also mentioned the other day that Kickstarters struggle to make the news these days due to overload.
Daniel.
That is where we come in. Get with the outreach program people! If these sites ask people to cover something, its in their interest to give the readers what they want!
I have personally contacted a few sites to let them know about the awesome potential this project has!
Vic Wertz wrote: Expect standard gear but with exclusive bling... The Goblin Squad Dogslicer is a great example of that. It's a dogslicer, but notice the little goblin head embossed near the hilt? That—and the unique item name—are the exclusive bling in this case. (I don't recall for certain, and all of Goblinworks is in a meeting right now, so I can't check, but the weapon itself may have color differences as well.) Some items will have much more obvious bling.

Yes, please!
sent a mail to massively in hopes they will post it
English fail, I meant if people ask these sites, not sites ask these people :p

@Vic, I guess you don't know right now? No probs, if you could let us know if you find out/decide on this later. :-)
Cheers,

Here's the tip line for Massivley I encourage everyone to go there and fill it out! Link the PFO kickstarter home page as the 'Related URL.'

Found a question on the KS comments I thought was relevant:
Shanandoe Brizendine wrote: The only forseeable issue with the daily deals items is are they one (of each) per account, or I get them on every character I make? What stops me from making a boatload of characters, getting these items on each one and then selling/giving them away?
Also, are they something that can be taken via pvp? I'd hate to have gotten it, and then summarily crushed by whmoever and promptly lose the item(s) by wait of looting
Otherwise a great idea for extra backing.
Any input?

Cheers,
Daniel. Correct—I don't know the answer to that one.
Any word on Guild packs or Tech-demo alpha people? I Am a tech-demo alpha member as well as a current Crowdforger Alpha level and my alternate account has my Crowdforger Guild pack on it.
So here are my questions:
Is the Crowdforger Alpha the same as the Tech-demo Alpha?
Does each of the accounts for Crowdforger Guild level get a set of Daily Deals based on the pledge date?
Also do the Buddy levels receive a set each of the Daily Deals based on pledge date?

The answer to the first part is one per account. (Corollary: buddy and guild-type backers will be getting one daily deal item for each buddy/guild member—they can't just keep the duplicates for their own account.)
Vic Wertz wrote: Correct—I don't know the answer to that one. Fair enough, nice to see you on here it's good to have input with you guys. :-)

Want To Sell: Original Goblin Dogslicer. Or...I will trade for a lifelong supply of silver polish for my shiny shiny sword.
