I just logged out and logged back in and it seemed to resolve the issue.

I don't know if this is just me, though I have tried using multiple devices.

Any time I try to add a pdf to an order, the page returns "your request produced an error" on the line where the price was. This makes it a bit difficult to take advantage of the spring sale...

I'm having exactly the same error.

I really like this idea. Creating 'evil' spells that violate graves and generally making graves difficult to violate (perhaps the death curse is 'worse' if you violate someone's grave?) It seems wrong that allies have so little they can do to help someone who has died versus enemies.

If you upgrade (say from $100 to $175) later, do you lose your spot in the Daily Deal?

It's not just assassins and bandits who will be affected. This is no longer an "Open PvP" game. This is a very fundamental change and I find it absurd that it should take this level of prying to learn about it. This is no longer a game where only the brave will venture far out of town. It's gone from high risk vs reward frontier setting to My Little Pony.

It also rules out using informal assassination contracts. Assassins who don't want even the client to know who they are have just lost out.

Tony's business just lost out.

This is a very big change.

As a PVE guy, I would say while it certainly is a change, it does not turn it into 'My Little Pony'. You still can get killed repeatedly by the same guy. There are just consequences for the killer (like real life). Any world with scrying and resurrection would have these sort of consequences. But they don't make PVE risk free by any stretch. You have to spend rep to do the death curse (which many PVE types will be loathe to do) and money for the bounty. Real money if you want anyone to take action at whatever level money is 'real'. It gives those of us who suck at combat a chance to see the world while still allowing the dedicated PVP'ers a way to make a living. If I go wildernessing and know I might get jumped, I'll wear my throwaway gear and if I get killed, them's the breaks. But if some guy makes my life a misery for the hell of it, I can pay and get him 'taken care of'. Seems fair to me.

I just posted the application format under the updated roster. Fill out a post with it as best you can (we understand nothing is concrete right now) and we would be glad to have you aboard.

Name: Telchar (though that may not be allowed, so I would like other suggestions)

Most Probable Race: Dwarf
Most Probable Alignment: LG
Most Probable Guild/College: Gold / Green (Crafting, Resources, Exploring)
How did you hear about GL: Forums
Why do you want to join GL: Like the alignment - want a place that supports a PVE player who has no problem with PVP.
What parts of GL's ideology do you find most appealing: Helping others. I like helping people.
If you have a RP-background/concept for your character, what is it?:
Older male dwarf who has left his clan because he feels (wrongly) that he has been made redundant by the younger generation. He is looking for someplace that he can be useful. He has a bit of wanderlust and is into mining / weaponcrafting (you can't make something if you don't understand it). He is slow to anger, but has no patience for those who harm innocents especially women and children. He will probably be a paladin of Saranae and pickup Cleric (preferably Oracle if possible) to enhance his healing skills. Given a choice between fighting evil and healing those who need it, he will chose healing.

I like the page and I love the philosophy. This could be an organization I don't mind joining - and I am a solo guy by nature.

Well, I like the combat role of healer/fighter, the adventuring role of explorer with some gatherer and the at home role of crafter. I think all of those should be feasible, given time. I wouldn't mind some actual RP as well - I'll be interested to see how that is actually supported by the game.

As a character background, I see him as an old dwarf who feels (wrongly) that he is of no use to his clan - that the young folk now can do what he did, but better. So he has left and is looking for some place where he can be of use.

Evil needs to be stopped, but he's not sure he can be any help - but is willing to try. He's older and a bit slower and tends to think before taking any action. We'll see how it works out.

I am going to be a Dwarven Paladin. If your a Paladin of Torag that seems like a completely reasonable character. I mean my Character Rojak Battleborn will be a bit more aggressive in the way he protects the kingdom but, I am sure you would be welcome. We have a subgroup called The Golden Scales specifically for those more interested in trading and being craftsmen. Being in the formal military is optional.

Torag is a possibility. I was also thinking Sarenrae. (I would really like to try Paladin/Oracle but I don't think Oracle is going to be an option for a while. Also, I'm not sure how it would actually work in an MMO vs PnP). I really like exploring and gathering as well as crafting, but I'm less than skilled (ie. suck) at combat. I'm not sure those activities are feasible, given the structure of the game.

Question: would this group support a Dwarf Paladin who is not into violence except for self-defense (i.e. doesn't look for trouble) but is into crafting / weapon construction? [I'm not much of a PVPer - my reaction time is nil) And if this is not a good choice, could you point me at a group that might be?
