Your favorite Mysteries / Revelations

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I think one of my favorite, non-common mysteries has to be Wood.

However my favorite Revelation has to be Awesome Display from the Heavens mystery, such a fantastic ability.

What about you. I want to hear your favorite revelations, and your favorite mysteries.

Haven't quite gotten to play it yet, but I'm really liking the look of Juju Mystery and I like the look of the Spirit Vessels revelation. I just love that it makes playing good necromancy a possibility.

Currently those are my favorite mystery and revelations.

I honestly like most of them.

I plan to make an Oracle at some point when I get my other character concepts out of the way (A "Rogue" that's really a Grenadier Alchemist and an Inquisitor designed around killing Undead in the most brutal ways possible) and it's really hard to choose.

My top are probably Dark Tapestry, Bones, and Outer Rifts though.

Wind, or maybe Flames. Probably Wind though. I just can't get over how sweet 90 ft. of Fly Speed with perfect maneuverability is.

Along with the kickass battlefield control spells that it grants, and a scaling armor (which admittedly a few of them have, but 50% miss chance on ranged attacks is one of the cooler bonuses). As well as Invisibility/Greater Invisibility, if you want that. Overall, I think it's pretty awesome.

That said, most of them are. I certainly like some more than others, but I don't think I can call any of them bad.

Oh My God. Lore Mystery, with my favorite revelations being:

1. Focused trance: +20 multiple times a day on all Intelligence based checks?! I have used this to cut uncut gems to get triple cash, ALWAYS make awesome stuff successfully even with one rank in a given craft, ROCK all out-of-combat knowledge checks, make INSANELY convincing forgeries (can you say, "Take 20 and add 20?" ...

2. Sidestep Secret: Basically lets you sub CHA bonus for Dex bonus for purposes of AC. If you factor this into your build you can push your points a lot further. It doesn't help you hit other people, it's just for defense basically, but if you're not a brawler or shooter, this shouldn't sting.

I have a Gnome Bard/Oracle in my present campaign with The above mystery/revs, Breadth of experience, versatile performances, and I'm just an ABSURD skill monkey. I think I'll have adopt a "lite" version of him for pathfinder society games... he can't fight, but he'll ALWAYS make the skill roll you need him to... which I imagine will be nice for making sure everyone gets their faction missions completed. :D
