I've not been happy with my magus and was wondering about if he's valid to be rebuilt.

The reason I wonder is that he hit second level on his last adventure, but it was Crypt of the Everflame, so he went from 2 XP to 4 XP. Is he rebuildable?

Yes you can rebuild him. It tends to happen. You will be stuck with him as is after this though :D

I am unsure if your XP is right though. I thought that for a module outside of the Free RPG day ones (which only grant 1 xp) you should have gotten 3 xp bringing you up to 5 XP (plus 4 prestige points for the module). Can anyone with better Rules-Fu hit this up.

I double checked the gold and such. Its a tier 1-2 so you can play it once with a 2nd level character to get that quick level to 3rd. It is replayable with 1st level characters all day long. (well a different 1st level character each time you play it bumping them to 2nd) You should get 3 XP and 4 Prestige plus the awesome gold and the sweet option to buy on that loot list. Unless you opt for slow advancement which makes it 1.5 XP and 2 Prestige.

This was a small debate that I am not sure got answered. The way I see it, if the character has not been played at level 2, it is rebuildable (guide says before you 'level' not before you have reached a certain 'XP').

If it was played over multiple sessions, and he missed one of them, the XP & PP, along with gold, can be less than the 3 XP/4 PP maximum.

Thanks for the XP catch

The correct answer is "Matthew shouldn't do math after 11 PM :-)"

As long as the rebuild is done before a game is played as level 2, then it is rebuildable. If it becomes a problem with people gaming the system in bad ways, we will just change the wording in the Guide to advise it has to be rebuilt with 3 xps or less period. For now, I have seen no problems with it.

I was just basing it off max xp and prestige earned. That was the answer we had run with. As long as it is done before the next played scenairo at the newly attained level of 2nd :D No one here has been abusing it. I have 3 new players who are doing first steps parts 1 & 2 and they asked what would happen if they played in Murder's Mark. Some of those these questions came up :D Its good to ask for back up :)
