Looks like the $75 reward level for the Kickstarter for the Pathfinder Online game includes "you will receive a PDF or e-book of a Pathfinder novel which takes place in the Crusader Road area where Pathfinder Online will start out".

Any more information on this novel? When it might come out, who's writing it, etc?

I'm guessing that it will be Dave Gross' next book which takes place alongside the Worldwound AP.

I am basing this assumption entirely upon Dave Gross' statements in his interview in Know Direction and the words "Crusader Road area" in the above post.

Nope. I was talking about a novel connected to the Wrath of the Righteous AP, not Pathfinder Online.

Wrath of the Rightous. That's the title I cannot seem to keep in my head. I knew that your novel was connected to the AP, I thought it might be a convenient symphysis for the Wrath of the Rightous AP and the Pathfinder Online release.

So, maybe we are getting Two Worldwound related novels this year? Or maybe I am confusing what the "Crusader Road" area is? I'll admit that I have not been following Pathfinder Online at all, so I'm not up to date on what's going on with the Kickstarter.

symphysis:
I acknowledge that symphysis is a medical term and incorrectly applied here. However, it seems to appropriately convey the idea of Dave's novel connecting the two products.

I sincerely hope that whatever the novel is, that it is included in the Tales Subscription line. That way, I'll get it for significantly less than $75! :O

Keen eyes, everybody! There will indeed be a novel coming out tied to Pathfinder Online, but it's *not* Dave's Wrath of the Righteous tie-in novel. It'll be a totally different book dealing with some of the themes in the game. And it'll be part of the Pathfinder Tales line as usual as well as a Kickstarter reward.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you any more just yet, but stay tuned. :)

Thanks, Captain! My ignorance of Golarion Geography is made apparent. I should have remembered that Pathfinder Online is taking place in the River Kingdoms.

Glad to hear that the novel will still be part of the Tales Subscription!

Looks like the tie in novel has been announced: The Crusader Road by Richard L. Baker!

Will folks end up with two copies of the book if they are a Tales subscriber AND back the MMO KS?

I presume the tech team is working on a way to avoid that problem--we definitely wouldn't charge you for a book you already got as a Kickstarter reward!

Since we'll be fulfilling the physical goods for the Kickstarter, we'll know which backers are subscribers, and will ensure that they get every benefit that they're entitled to get from both the Kickstarter and the subscription, without doubling up.

Thanks Vic, I was wondering the same question.

That's really good news, since I am considering supporting the Kickstarter...

A great example of the valuable synergy.
