Discussing how Dervish Dance can be expanded to other weapons in another thread made me think of martial arts movies (and the Dynasty Warriors series) where characters would employ dance-like combat using spears or other piercing-type polearms. So, it got me thinking... a variant feat similar to Dervish Dance for Polearms? Here's what I'm thinking:
Pre-reqs: Dex 13, Weapon Finesse, Perform (dance) 2, proficiency with a 2-h piercing weapon with reach.
Benefit: When wielding a 2-handed piercing weapon with reach that you are proficient with, you may chose to use your Dexterity modifier in place of your Strength modifier on melee attack and damage rolls. You treat the weapon as dealing slashing damage for all applicable feats and class abilities. When applying this benefit, you may not use the reach special ability on the weapon (you may threaten adjacent squares and apply Dex to those attacks but to threaten squares in your reach range, you must use Str).
Now we just need a name for it... Poledancing?

where are the spear dancer feats
Faiths of purity. 4 ranks in perform and weapon focus so you can... Dazzle them! -1 to attack with no save, so its not awful but its not really anything you should jump for either.
can you make a polearm a light weapon?
No, at best you can wield one that's inappropriately sized which has pretty big penalties.

Well I approve of this idea from 2012!

Remove the term "dazzled" and make it a scaling penalty and you have something worth a feat. Otherwise, you just have another garbage feat created to take up space.
