Monk's 'natural weapon' attacks + dragon ferocity + power attack

Rules Questions

ok starting backwards from power attack, it allow you to increase the damage by 50% if you attack with a 2 handed weapon, a 1 handed weapon used in 2 hands, or 'primary natural weapon that adds 1-1/2 times your Strength modifier on damage rolls'

monk unarmed strike is 'A monk's unarmed strike is treated as both a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.'

my question is does this apply to a monk using his normal fists if he has dragon ferocity feat? it states 'while using Dragon Style, you gain a bonus on unarmed strike damage rolls equal to half your Strength bonus'

if his unarmed strikes are also considered primary natural weapons, would all his unarmed strikes get the 50% power attack bonus? or would he have to have some kind of natural attack, weapon focus in that attack, and feral combat training before being able to add the 50% bonus from power attack?

thank you everyone for clarification.

Unarmed Strikes are not natural attacks, they only count as such for spells that buff natural attacks.

Dragon Ferocity gives a bonus to damage of a monk's unarmed strike. It does not affect Power Attack in any way.

Another reason why this wouldn't work is that Unarmed Strikes are also considered light weapons. You only receive the 'normal' 2:1 return on Power Attack when using light weapons.

The good news is that you still get the 2:1 return on all of your unarmed attacks. Other classes take the 50% hit (or 1:1 return) on Power Attack with their "off-hand" hand attacks.

monk attacks are both natural weapons and manufactured weapons. the rule for power attack in question, if you read my post, is the power attack bonus for natural attacks that add 50% of their strength to damage, which dragon ferocity does do.

yes, no unarmed attack from a monk is considered 'off-hand', which is why dragon ferocity lets you add 1.5 times your str bonus to all of your unarmed attacks, which makes them (possibly) qualify for the 50% increase in damage from power attack.

i tend to agree with the idea that it shouldn't be allowed unless you spend the 2 extra feats and have natural claws or something, but the wording of the monks unarmed strikes makes me wonder, does 'natural weapons' = 'natural attacks'

No, as I said before, they are neither natural weapons nor manufactured weapons. They specifically only count as either sort for spells and effects that enhance those sorts of weapons, not for feats. There's a reason you're not allowed to take Improved Natural Attack for your Unarmed Strike, after all.
