Forceful Strike Magus combo

Rules Questions

So I stumbled on the spell a couple days ago. Well I had looked at it before but did not pay it much mind for some reason.

Anyway this time in paying attention to the spell its a swift action that you cast then you strike, Note strike not attack. (seems there is no way to waste the spell which is nice.)

So my question is, is there any legit reason this can not be used with spell combat and spellstrike with another spell? Here let me give a breakdown.

Cast shocking grasp with spell combat.
Deliver shocking grasp with spell strike.
Take my next attack allowed with spell combat.
If that hits cast forceful strike.

I can not find anything that makes this not doable. As long as you have your swift action anyway. Thoughts?

EDIT- In fact it does not seem you even need spell combat. The free attack to deliver shocking grasp with spell strike is still a "Strike" and thous could be used to trigger forceful strike.

And only now do I realize somehow posted this in advice rather then rules question. Sorry about that.

Flagged for you.

As long as you have your swift action left the answer is yes. It is like using a quickend spell with a condition to cast.

As I thought just wanted to make sure there was not some detail I was missing as it is a powerful combo.

It doesn't crit + d4 damage dice + save for half + negates bull rush on save, makes it not that great. You're looking at something like 10 or maybe 15 extra damage on one hit.

As a magus, most of your swift actions should be accounted for already:
1. The swift damage enhance from the Arcane Strike feat.
2. Dimension Door swift cast from the Dimensional Dervish feat chain.
3. Quickened and intensified bad touch spells.
4. Accurate Strike arcana
5. Arcane Accuracy arcana
6. Spell Shield arcana

Still, it is one of the rare swift action cast spells, and you can apply it after you confirm a hit, so those are a few pluses there. But overall, a magus has better options on where to spend his/her swift action.
