Swift Alchemy and Potions

Rules Questions

Does the Alchemist's swift alchemy class feature apply to crafting potions?

Shadow Lodge

Although they can be made with Craft(Alchemy), potions do not count as alchemical items, and can't be swift crafted with that ability.

EDIT: At least, not as written. It doesn't seem OP allow the alchemist to make potions in half time so long as he doesn't exceed the normal limit of one magic item crafted per day.

They can? When did that happen? Last I read, potions are made using the Brew Potion feat, not any Craft skill.

What I meant was that a character with the Brew Potion feat could roll Craft (Alchemy) instead of Spellcraft when making the check to create the item. Just like a character with Craft Magic Arms & Armour and Craft(Armour) could use that skill instead of Spellcraft to finish a magic breastplate.
