Channel Smite Question.

Channel Smite reads as Follows:

Channel Smite (Combat)
You can channel your divine energy through a melee weapon you wield.

Prerequisite: Channel energy class feature.

Benefit: Before you make a melee attack roll, you can choose to spend one use of your channel energy ability as a swift action. If you channel positive energy and you hit an undead creature, that creature takes an amount of additional damage equal to the damage dealt by your channel positive energy ability. If you channel negative energy and you hit a living creature, that creature takes an amount of additional damage equal to the damage dealt by your channel negative energy ability. Your target can make a Will save, as normal, to halve this additional damage. If your attack misses, the channel energy ability is still expended with no effect.

It does not explicitly say, but if you channel Positive into a smite, and hit your Living, non-dhampir friend, it will heal them for the Smite dice, correct? Trying to figure this out for a friends Society character, but it is a rules question, so I placed it here :3

This follows the normal Channel rules. No crossing the streams.

Heal the living or Harm Undead
Heal Undead or Harm Living

The Feat reduces this even more to only damage dealing channels.
It harms undead or harms the living. No Healing at all

Thank you, that's what I was trying to figure out, since it didn't give the option to smack your friend and heal them, I was leaning it's not an option, but it also mentioned to an extent of it just being Channel Energy in a Melee.
