Information Sheet
Player: Clebsch73
Character: Benson Gangtee
Pathfinder Society Number: # 105836-2
Faction: Liberty's Edge
Slow Track or Normal: Normal
Day Job/Faction Card Roll: Profession (Sailor), Ship+ 4 + 2
The ship is a vanity he purchased. See his profile for a description of the game benefits.
I haven't played in a PFS game for a few years. I don't remember the Faction Card Roll. Can you direct me to an explanation?
I keep a list of all Benson's skill rolls on his profile, so you can check these as needed.
I've downloaded the most recent document with faction cards (Season 10). The PDF is a little confusing, as some factions have duplication of the faction goals. Most factions, including Benson's faction have a faction goals box followed by two more boxes and one faction has nothing but the faction goals.
Regarding the two sets of check boxes, are these both available or is one of the two for 2nd edition games? I have two faction cards from earlier seasons (not sure exactly which seasons, as the cards don't list that) but they were from 2017 and earlier.
These old faction cards just have one set of boxes to check to earn rewards.

So, faction cards were a lovely addition to each season to give you other goals including ones that would take your downtime roll. Succeeding at them would give bonuses. You can continue going after old seasons cards if you checked off one box while it was current. Season 10 is available to start for any players.
I have downloaded them again to make sure I am looking at them properly. I reccomedn looking at the "half-sheet" pdf as it puts both sides the faction sheets on the same page.
You look at your character's faction and can complete one of the goals on the sheet per scenario (unless stated otherwise). When you do, you check a box next to the goal and checking them all of means the goal is completed (If it has 2 check boxes you need both checked to count it towards rewards). The title sheet lists the rewards you get for certain amounts of goals completed.
You only work on your own faction's goals so duplication between them will not be a large concern.

Player: Crunch
Character: Uaine Altimari
Pathfinder Society Number: 150618-9
Faction: Grand Lodge
Slow Track or Normal: Normal
Day Job/Faction Card Roll: None (Faction Card TBD)
I think everything here is up to date. Still have plenty of gold in case I decide on something else to pick up.

![]() |

I am familiar with the concept of the Faction Journal Cards.
I think the extra section goes with a different faction that got included in the wrong place in the Full Sheet version. I've noted the boxes checked from earlier faction cards at the end of this document.

Thanks again for GMing!!

I fixed a few errors on Benson's profile. A few things to note:
I wanted to name the character Benson Steel, but for some reason when I created the character, that name was not available. I determined that the Chinese word for steel was similar to Gangtee, so I made that his last name and linked it to his Tien mother. But in gameplay, he will identify himself as Benson Steel.
If you use the Paizo PBP Chrome extensions that allow you to substitute a different image when viewing characters in threads, you can find the image to use for Benson at the bottom of his background information on his profile. I couldn't find anything in the Paizo image collection that really matched my mental image of the character, although the one I did choose is a suitable stand-in.
If anyone else uses a different image for their PC, please make it available and I'll use it when I view posts in Chrome.

Quick question before I make my first post: are we planning to write posts in present or past tense? I prefer past tense, but I am fine with present tense if that is the preference of the majority.

![]() |
I'll try to locate this character and star posting in gameplay if its not too late. He wasn't where i expected when i looked last week.
Edit Hmm apparently I had loaded him into the forums before. i just need to make sure this info is up to date.

![]() |

I usually post in past for my PCs but it changes at times.
Dooain feel free to hop in whenever.
We are kicking off now and I am polishing up slides. Which will be in my header and the campaign header momentarily.

![]() |

Figured I'll post my basic combat tricks here so they're nice and out there.
Strategy-wise, Uaine will support. When the going's good and buffs have been doled out or aren't needed, she'll be helping to punch people, which also tosses in some debuffs. Otherwise, healing aplenty.

![]() |

The 4 that have checked in have posted but I was curious as well about if there would be any others. This one gets going real fast.

I'll be adding character details later today but I found my guy!

Alaxander/Jason: What is the Initiative for your character? I have it set at 2 because I am not sure what other things you could have going towards it.

oops sorry, um nothing. nothing else. I'll get the other info like that sorted out in my profile later.

No posts from me for today. Finger is sliced, cannot use keyboard effectively. Need wound to recover.

Sorry I was not keeping track of discord to well

![]() |

No worries, feel free to run into the ruins (or insert yourself earlier). You can join them in their current round if you like.

![]() |

If anyone else has standard procedures they want to add, to expedite exploration just let me know. I always try to strike a balance between the character getting to make their rolls and using certain ones myself , like rolling lots of perception per room.
PbP changes some things in how it works best for each individual.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Thanks GM,
I would propose the following.
- All PCs actively search for traps so please roll perception for all of us GM
- Those that can regularly detec magic
- We follow Gru'Gar and he guides us

![]() |

Sorry, I just haven't had the bandwidth to bot multiple people/didn't know what they would do in this circumstance.

![]() |

Hey, gimme another day. Sorry, work has been absolutely insane. Been working with local law enforcment and doing new intakes all week. Has eaten up a lot of my bandwidth then I can get us back on track for the rest of the scenario, also this one has tossed a lot of new types of encounters my way as a GM. So used to GMing baby tier. I really am so sorry about the pacing being so slow.

![]() |

Not a problem.
I was having trouble interpreting the map but it looks like we initially came down the northernmost set of stairs down to get the the first level, near the south side of the map, fought the undead wolf, then discovered a secret door at the south side right by the way we entered, which took us down another level. This is where we found the trapped bridge that led north to what looks like a library.
Benson was at the north side of the rope bridge waiting for the other turns to play out. Now all the characters are in the room beyond the bridge. Did we all make it into the room? I don't see any posts indicating that.

![]() |

I'll cop to being a bit confused about the map layout, but I think we all made it to where we are okay.

![]() |

So the group comes down the stairs from the south, it was the group crossing the bridge when some invisible force started chunking rocks. Gru'gar got the door to the next room open while Benson took apart the bridge collapsing trap.
Will have to work out people being in the room now, as the last turn the only one who went into the next room was Gru'far to check the next door.

![]() |

For the sake of moving us forward and the fact that Hustavan isn't explicitly helpful or aware of the situation, he still knows people try to get through the room as quick as possible.
Unless the group really want to be ghost busters, it would be safe to keep moving once Gru'gar gets that trap dealt with. Dealing with someone that has natural invisibility at this level is certainly a challenge.

![]() |

Just to let you know I am in the processing of moving. And with the holidays coming up please BOT me if needed. I will try and keep up with my posts, but at this time my new place does not even have internet service and the soonest they can get there I am told is December 3rd.

![]() |

Sadaf double moves into the room.
"Oh, oh! This thing looks dead! Danduun come here and attack!" he says a little shocked.

![]() |

I think the post above was meant for the gameplay thead.
Sorry for my tardy posting. I had a busy workload and felt burned out when I had opportunities to post, so I delayed.

![]() |

Just heads up; if I am silent for a while, I am probably swamped at work and worn out. Holidays wrench up things significantly.

![]() |

A feeling I know well, botting Uaine then pushing us to Round 1 actions.

![]() |

I am going to work on the chronicles tomorrow. The 3rd party template on these cultist and the wight really do a number on them, they go squished.
Sorry again for the pacing of this. Life has been throwing me curveballs left and right. It really ended up in me giving a sub-par experience which I regret. I still enjoyed the characters and this earlier Scenario stood no chance against the group.
Link for chronicles soon!

![]() |

Please don’t worry!!
Every single of your posts was great and that is what counts. ;-)
Thanks again!!

![]() |

If anyone wants to roll for jobs or faction cards that they have not yet, please let me know and I will add those in to the chronicles. I know a few put TBD or havent rolled. Chronicles are ready to go aside from that.
Also need Gab's info.

profession merchant : 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
Thanks GM!!!

![]() |

Sorry for my AFK. I have been stuck in high stress situations in the office since December started with the increased work load coming up to New Years. It will probably continue through until January.
