Silver Crusade

So we recently implimented a new rule that all players must have a real minatures; Not just a scrap of paper or a lighter or coin of some sort.

I know absolutly nothing about minatures. So i need some help with finding them for two my characters.

Character 1
Aasimar Sorc Silver dragon bloodline. Will be taking the Dragon Diciple PrC when he is able to. Does not need Wings, as I can use the angelic ones from my Angel of Justice for him when he hits CL 10.

Male, uses a Longspear or Light Crossbow or his Claws. Changes between robes and normal clothes depending on what he feels like wearing.

* I purchased a minature to use for him called the angel of justice, but i didnt look at the minature too closely. Turned out I bought a female angel in a thong and with a sword and whip and nothing else on.

Character 2
Aelfborn(halfelf) Druid Worldwalker Archtype. Other multitalented class is Ranger (but will not use any metal armor ever)

Wears wooden armor (leather with firetreated wooden reinforcments) and Large Wooden Shield.

Male, uses four weapons. Silver sickle, Short Spear, Sling & Earth Breaker (exotic weapon)
Animal Companion Standard Greywolf

Id perfer some sorta of cool looking minatures for them, Doesnt have to be pathfinder minatures, but as the ones ive seen are already painted thats a plus. Ive next to no experience in painting, but everyone else at either table are avid warhammer40k guys with multiple armies that they have painted and have offered to paint my guys for me.

Thank you all in advance for you assistance.

Painted or unpainted?

Is your GM selling miniatures?

Most folks are OK with using a representative token of some sort. Requiring a player to have a figure that exactly matches the character is asking for too much. Unless you are handy with conversions, it's unlikely your figure will exactly match your character throughout his/her life.

Look thru the D&D and pathfinder ranges to find something close to what you have and call it good.
http://www.trollandtoad.com/index.php is a great place to look at and buy single minis

Alternatively go on E-bay or similar and buy a stack of figs for cheap.

Paizo ALSO has a great Kickstarter deal to get a ton of unpainted figs for a $100 "donation"
Give that a look.

+1 to eBay. You can pick and choose different sized minis on there for pennies each (literally). What's more, usually buying a bunch of minis from the same seller means discounted/combined shipping. You can literally pay less than $10 to have a bunch of small/medium minis shipped to you. What I usually do is wait til I get my eBay Bucks, then use the Bucks to go on a miniature buying spree.

"D&D Miniature" and "Dungeons and Dragons Miniature" usually seem to get the best hits for me, but try different variations to see what you get. Narrow your categories, sort by "lowest price + shipping" first, and start shopping.

Moved thread.
I'll also note that we have a variety of D&D Miniatures singles here, as well as the Pathfinder pre-painted minis from WizKids.

I was unaware that you all had this service. Handy!

this site is bigger than I imagined...

Also take a look at Reaper's Figure Finder, which lets you specify gender/species/clothing type/weapon type. There's no guarantee they'll have EXACTLY what you want, but you can usually get pretty close.

There is a lot on this site. I have difficulty too finding things. You have to go down to the SHOP section, and then under GAMES you will find the Miniatures. Too often I am in the Pathfinder areas and miss things.

To have a Master Link in the Browse section of the Home Page for just Miniatures (All Miniatures) instead of GAMES or some other name may be useful. Just a thought!!! It is easy to miss the little hyper-link for Miniatures.

There is the Silver Sorcerer a Half-Silver Dragon with a Long Spear.

In the same Dragoneye set is the Half-Elf Sorcerer

It doesn't look like Paizo has the Half-Elf Sorcerer

So you could go with the more exotic Half-Dragon or a more ordinary looking miniature.

The Greywolf is easy. I would recommend the standard wolf from Harbinger.

Wolf from the Harbinger set. Paizo is out of Wolves too.

The Druid is a bit more complicated. But I always liked the Herne the Hunter style Druid.

Druid of Obad Hai also from the Dragoneye set. Again Paizo is out of this one.

If any or none of those will do. I do have other suggestions.

I'd suggest you take a look at the D&D Minis Database to browse for some of the older stuff.

There's a variety of aasimar figures there. Druids are tougher to get good sculpts for, historically.

In our group the GM provides miniatures if the player is lacking one. Or another player will do so. We have three players in our group of six right now who don't have a miniature for their current character and I or the other regular GMs loan them the same mini every session.

I also make my own miniatures for my own characters. I am not much of a sculptor but the end result is still more satisfying and more consistent with my visualization of the miniature than anything I could find on a mini site. It's pretty amazing what you can do with some simple Sculpey clay and some paints...
