Int-based Sorcerer of non-Arcane bloodline?

Advice

Scarab Sages

I had been playing a Gravewalker Witch in Organised Play, then they were verboten. I kind of wanted to rebuild him as an Undead/Sanguise bloodline Sorcerer, and he's an Elf with an Intelligence of 20, so if I were to do that, I would want his magic to remain Intelligence-based. I thought of making him a Crossblooded "Sanguine Sage", but the "one fewer spell known per level" is far too onerous a penalty. Can anyone think of another way I can swipe the Sage Bloodline Arcana? The character is presently level 3.

I'm pretty sure there in not another way by RAW.

Scarab Sages

Is it really one fewer "spell known" for Crossblooded Sorcerers, no errata to that or anything? What's one supposed to do at levels where you have spell slots for but only one spell known for a given level?

There is no other way. However, you have the option of changing your ability scores also, so I would just switch your Int score for your Cha score and do everything else the same.

Edit: Another option that will be legal most likely by the end of this week is to take the Crossblooded with Arcane and Sanguine, and then as soon as you can afford it (and have the prestige for it) buy a Page of Spell Knowledge (from Ultimate Equipment). That will make up for the one less spell known. At each level, as soon as you can afford it, buy another page of spell knowledge.

One final way is to switch to human and take the human favored class option for Sorcerers, which gives you a new spell known at each level, though with this you're going to have to wait until you can cast the next level of spells, so it's not quite as useful.

Is it simply the effects of the Undead/Sanguise bloodline you are looking for?

If so, then the Eldritch Heritage feat is your answer.

Go Sage, then collect the feats.

Scarab Sages

Crossblooded/Razmiran Priest Sanguine/Sage Human taking "Racial Heritage: Half Elf" so you can get Paragon Surge. Use the feat granted by Paragon Surge to get Expanded Arcana.

You'll have fewer spells known of the highest level you can cast, true, but you'll still have plenty of spells known thanks to the human favoured class bonus. Razmiran priest 9 will let you cast from divine scrolls without using them up. Doesn't Ultimate Equipment have a "Page of Spell Knowledge" wondrous item for adding spells to a sorcerers spells known as well?

No idea how much of this can be done in PFS though.

You can always use your highest level slot for additional castings of a lower level spell.

But also, that is one of the reasons many sorcerers take metamagic feats. You could cast heightened acid arrows in you 3rd level slots.

Does Heightened Acid Arrows do anything?

Heightened Grease to up the DC.

I was thinking it would help overcome SR, but I was wrong. It doesn't actually do anything with that spell.

It's the price you pay for the ability to mix and match bloodline powers to any desired munchkin taste.

As to what one is supposed to do?

1. You can use high level spell slots for low level spells.

2. You can use those slots for metamagiced versions of lower level spells.

3. Pick a good spell for that single known slot.
